This is a tiny, tiny "victory".

So a man might not be stopped by utterly empty allegations. Womp womp, as they say.

You'd bet that if the allegations were any more weighty, perhaps if even a single of the witnesses Ford named corroborated her story, it's very possible that the vote could have gone the other way.

But I supposed it's victory, no matter how small. You can be sure that the feminist types will throw this case in your face as an example of "rape culture" or a society that "disbelieves women" simply because we wouldn't fully destroy a man over entirely baseless allegations.

He wants to ban or at least tighten abortion laws. Do you really want more single mothers out there?

He has considered a law that would make the president immune from criminal investigation. Is this really a good idea?

Can someone explain how and why this is causing so much salt. This is transparently an attempt to intimidate a candidate into stepping down. The most credible of the allegations turn out to be lacking in detail and although capable of corroboration, remain uncorroborated despite the huge publicity and despite the best attempts of the media, the FBI, etc.

Literally how can anyone even vaguely sane have the opinion that his confirmation is an affront to women's rights.

This feels very much like either a mental illness, or I am missing something.

Ms Ford has been treated with kid gloves so far. It seems to me more likely than not that she is lying - why else would she hide her therapy notes, and why else did she apparently engage professional help to scrub her Internet presence?

Why does she, and all the other accusers get to behave like they have and get away with it? It is important to create an environment where people are allowed to make enquiries of people who may have done them wrong, but if you are not sure, and go about it in a manner that seemingly is calculated to smear, then there should be some recourse.

You do realize Roe v Wade help us right. We get screw in courts but without Roe any children we sire will ruin our lives.

Least with Roe a women can get an early abortion and save us from child support while letting us/them to pursue a career rather than raise a child in a broken household.

I would think most of us would want to see Roe vs Wade upheld:

Its natural self-selection. Those that shouldn't breed are the most likely to take advantage of it. Think about it... the liberals you despise so much will never outnumber more conservative types so long as it exists.
It keeps scores of men from getting hosed by child support.
Quality > quantity. It keeps the population from exploding to levels you see in 3rd World shitholes. Less mouths to feed = more food for everyone else. Plus everythings more affordable.
Less future taxpayers = a weaker state that will begin having trouble being able to act as a surrogate provider. Single motherhood will begin dropping to record lows.
