In fairness, the way to stop this would be to change right to work laws so that employers cannot fire someone on the basis of an allegation that hasn’t held up in court. But since corporatists like trump want companies to be able to fire anyone when it’s convenient for any reason, it’s really unrealistic to expect companies not to run from the first sign of bad press.
