I mean, the same sense of confidence and cockiness is in dude heroes, but its lack of civility is highlighted in captain marvel because she’s a woman and the ideals of a civil woman are vastly different from the way she acts. Just sayin’ if she were a man it wouldn’t be such a big deal and no one would be saying captain marvel was annoying for being cocky and write it off as being part of the job.
So it’s clear now that people who have a problem with her cockiness are likely tapping into that ideal of what a woman should be and are unnerved by her conduct. So it’s only fair that everyone who shows they believe misogynistic ideals should be labeled a misogynist (even those women who are anti-feminist and non-accepting as you like to put it). It’s just that no one has enough conviction to call them that.
I’m not gonna lie, I thought she was annoying too for being cocky. I’m definitely not free of any of the holds of what a good woman should be like. I struggle with it within myself. It’s just one of those things that we have to realize is objectively wrong and work to reorient ourselves to have better visions of the way the world is.

Nah. If you can put up with the nonsense it is like perfect job security. The managers at the top appreciate having somebody who actually has a level head and doesn't come to their office with complaints every time they have PMS. Plus you probably get work done without demanding a ribbon for every little thing.
Plus if you're the strong steady type you get an endless series of dirt on everything going on, which means you're up on the current office politics. Just smile and nod and don't take any sides.
I do work remotely though, so I don't have a lot of metoo risk and all that. I'm also pretty plain in the looks dept - average enough to not be "creepy" but not somebody that the women are going to be desperate to date either. You need to stay out of the drama personally.
Just realize that as a man you're expected to do your job. Yes, all your female coworkers get special treatment, with excuses tolerated, and they can create endless drama. They will be tolerated. You will not be thanked and nonsense from you will NOT be tolerated, so don't adopt their example. All the same, they're setting the bar so low you probably will still have pretty relaxed working conditions compared to an all-male environment, and it isn't like we're at work to have fun.

You kind of miss the entire point of socialism from the middle / upper income class point of view. It's not that they're "taking your money," it's a value proposition you willingly and happily pay for.
"Free" education means the working class are better able to perform in skilled roles when you employ them. They are less likely to become criminal, which is expensive to deal with. Unskilled people are already a massive burden, and it's only going to get worse as technology improves.
"Free" healthcare means people get their health issues resolved before they end up in emergency, saving more money. The added benefit of not having sick people wandering the streets begging.
"Free" sustinance allowance for the unemployed, disabled and elderly means these people won't rob you, as they are likely to do if unable to feed or house themselves. Crime costs a lot of money.
From a purely capalistic point of view, the cost to benefit ratio of most social democratic style programs is favourable when compared to the costs of alternatives. It's cheaper, and you get nice touchy feely side benefits.
We need to stop thinking like it's the early 1900s again and start running our societies based on science, logic and maths.

Those are a lot of benefits, but they’re also benefits coming out of the pockets of those they don’t affect. It requires voluntary desire of those who hold money to, well, have less money in exchange for that which benefits the greater good. What fucking sub am I on right now? Given the history of the US Government primarily through the Courts to favor women over men you are openly calling for a bigger Government presence in our lives? You want the Government to seize the means of production (the very definition of socialism) to make society "more fair to everyone"? Where people are given resources according to their needs, and assigned jobs according to their "value" to society as a whole? If you are truly going your own way you should be terrified of a Socialist Government. Now that my rant of why you are an idiot for supporting a bigger Government presence in your life that is already biased against you (assuming you are actually MGTOW) let's address your "favourable when compared to costs of alternatives" argument.
I'm currently a member of the only Government run Healthcare system in the US. The VA. I got back from my first tour which was Iraq (2008-2009) and was told to register for the OIF/OEF program. So I called then and left a VM. I didn't have any major issues, a bit of combat stress and hearing loss so I never followed up. Did my second tour this time to sunny Afghanistan and came back with more hearing loss, as well as some deeper combat stress issues (2012). Called the program and left another message. Used my civilian job insurance to get help through the private healthcare system to get some help. Phone answered on the first try, had an appointment with a mental health professional within the week. Three months ago I got a call from the VA about my initial call from the OIF/OEF program returning my call from 10 years ago.
So moral of the story is I paid out of pocket through my "private" civilian health insurance to get the help I needed. The "free" healthcare I get from the Government took 10 years to return my call. So yes free healthcare is indeed free, but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for.
One more anecdote before I sign off for the night. I got back from a NATO exercise about three weeks ago where I was attached to a British Battalion. We were chatting one day about healthcare and they couldn't stop giving me examples of how shitty the NHS (National Health System) in Britain is. The Canadian attachments were telling me stories of Canadians going to the USA to get life saving care due to the waitlist that would have killed their family members in the Canadian "free" healthcare system.
So the moral of this story is that as a middle class member of society why would I fuck myself by supporting Socialism which will have a direct negative impact on my quality of life to possibly improve society as a whole? By the way do a little Googling of the history of every country that adopted Socialism and learn why it never works. And lastly as a man going my own way why would I want to empower the biggest oppressor of men in my life?

I think we're at the point now where not many will see this reply, and I wouldn't normally take the time to respond, but I just want to take the opportunity to clarify my thoughts for you, and maybe provide an answer to one or two of your questions.
I want to clarify I am Australian, but I have spent time in Phoenix, AZ and worked for US based companies.
Firstly, thank you for your service. 2001 was a terrible day. I was about the right age, but not fit, mentally or physically, to be a soldier.
"Socialism" in 2019 is no longer seizing the means of production. That is a dictionary definition of the word, but it is not what people around the world mean when they talk about socialist policies. Nobody is arguing that private enterprise should be somehow usurped by government - it would be a disaster.
Next, understand that what I speak of is coming from the same place as your beliefs. I want what's best for myself, my country, our world and the people in it. I want a peaceful planet where people don't need to struggle and fight. I want people to be free. I believe we need to start being less diametric and bipolar, and take a more best of both worlds approach.
Nowhere in the MGTOW doctrine does it say I should not care for my fellow man, no matter what piece of dirt he happened to be born on. My personal Own Way happens to include other people, in a belief that a rising tide lifts all boats, and that by working together as a community life improves for all. And I decide to put some effort towards that goal, no one else decides for me.
The health system you described sounds horrific. As a tax payer in my own country, I would be mortified to hear soldiers who have fought for me, spilled blood for me and in our name, would be getting anything less than the gold standard. It sickens me that this seems tolerable in the US.
And what does it cost me to ensure our battle worn are properly cared for? A cup of coffee a week? Make a sandwich at home for lunch instead of buying one at the shop? You see... I gladly, happily, willingly will pay this.
Because it is what I CAN do. I couldn't fight, but I can work a little harder. Maybe a little longer. Maybe get a better job. Make the tiniest sacrifice.
But I don't work this hard to look around me and see:
The government isn't going anywhere. For society to function, we need something to administer and control. What hurts me is, as a middle aged white male, I pay, yet get nothing. Fine. At least use my money to make sure that when I walk out the door, I see a community that's thriving with opportunity.
They're going to make me pay anyway.
Finally, and this point can be hard, but bear with me. The western economies are reaching a breaking point. The youngest generation will inherit not a lot. In a life time, most people will need education, health care, sustenance funds when unemployed, these sorts of things. In the past, communities and families have been able to catch people when they fall. But fewer and fewer families and communities have the resources to be able to do so. The chances of any individual requiring help and not being able to get it are increasing. It is not a selfless thing to want government safety nets in place, as it may turn out to be something I need in the future myself. You never know.
In the long run, properly run government services that provide health care, education and social support should work out cheaper than the fend for yourself approach. If these services aren't provided, as they're not in the States, you get what you have: high crime with high incarceration costs, a bulk of people who are essentially uneducated and only fit for menial work, and poor people begging for money in the streets, everywhere. It costs money to clean up that mess.
You say what I'm talking about doesn't work, but I was absolutely shocked at the poverty I saw in Phoenix. I'd never seen anything like it. It was bordering on uncivilised. And I couldn't understand how the caring, beautiful, loving American's I'd met could let this be.
I realise we're different people, with different perspectives, coming from different places. Your post made me think, and take pause. I respect what you say, and I value your point of view. There is certainly truth there, and I don't claim to have all the answers. I hope you feel the same. Perhaps one of us is right, or the answer is somewhere in the middle, or perhaps there is no answer. At least we can discuss our thoughts like civilised, mature men do.
