Pseudo chad TRP teenagers seem to have invaded this place as of late. Spouting dangerous advice on sleeping around with women, risking unwanted pregnancy, accusations and all kindsa shit. As this subreddit grows we are going to attract a more diverse crowd of individuals, and some of these will certainly not be real MGTOW (married men, purple pillers, TRPers, women pretending to be men, women blatantly invading). It is just part of the game... shrug it off and ignore the BS content.

Don't feed the trolls and don't lose your focus over insignificant matters. There is no good reason to argue; keep it to a civil discussion or debate and enjoy the subreddit. Don't pay attention to the women in the sub and they will soon leave.

Don't surrender sovereignty is correct but its too broad for most people to understand. As the master of MGTOW I have decided that the rules are:

-No marriage.

-No cohabitation.

If men stick to this everything will fall into place.

Don't get married and don't have children are the most straightforward and I'd say the two core rules of MGTOW. How do you define surrendering your sovereignty though? I think that causes the most argument as the monks will say that any interaction with women is surrender. Not that I have anything against withdrawing completely if that's what makes you happy.

Getting married is surrendering your sovereignty. The third bullet point can be dropped entirely. Everything you do outside of your first two bullets is a risk you choose to take in going your own way. I like this post and share the sentiment. So let's imagine a situation. Year 2030.

A big cultural shift to single parenthood happened in a distant future. (we're moving towards that situation already).

The government introduced bachelor's tax, standardized alimony payments, hid the tax in your pension transactions. But it has to be paid by any bachelor and it would be equal to average alimony paid by men to women in 2017.

Lets not talk if it is possible or not. I just want to know if you would feel the need to redefine MGTOW term in that situation, or you would still prefer to keep yours definition of mgtow?

There are few problems with your definition:

It won't pass the check of time.

And although we consider ourselves MGTOW we still exchange our sovereignty for a comfort that society brings.

Going your own way is simply not giving into the societal pressures and doing what you think is right. No reason to over complicate it. Why give in if something is bad for you? They want you to get married, but that's a bad deal. They want you to worship women, but that's a bad deal. They want you to assign value and worth based on their scale, but that's a bad deal. They will pressure you to conform but a MGHOW will not give in.

Going your own way does mean for sure, that you are not compromising for anything. And: traditionalism, NoFap, Utopias, being gay, married, do not inherently prevent us from going our own way.

It's not even that complicated to me. Retain agency. That's the bottom line. Knowing what social programming has done to you is a large part of being red pilled. Decoupling your sex life from female validation is the next big step.

This post is all gatekeeping. None of this "redefining" will hurt the essence of mgtow. This redefining is all theory and discussion which is healthy and keeps things interesting. It's food for thought.

As long we remain a place for men and we strive to protect ourselves from bitches, then we're set. How we can do that is what is up for discussion. While I agree that the central tenets of mgtow should be emphasized, I think to gatekeep mgtow that way would get boring and would deter a lot of men.

One of the reasons many songwriters dislike talking about the 'meaning' of their lyrics, is that the song can mean different things to different people. Why can't MGTOW be the same? Why must there be a rigid guideline? Maybe some guys GTOW, but screw sluts on Saturday nights. Maybe some are married, but the wife is a submissive that does everything he asks. I don't know your marriage but it's safe to say 95% of married men probably aren't in control of their own finances/life in general at that point. inb4 "I'M ONE OF THE 5%" cause you're probably not. Also I'm not referring to muslims or saudis having ten wives, I'm talking American/European men, 1 wife. Should we really care about how people label us? Are we so attached to a label that we are going out of our way to cater to other peoples games. I thought we don't play games. Mgtow will get infiltrated, and it will fragment but I don't feel the need to protect the label or the social status of the group. Those games are for feminists, MRA, tradys, TRPs. The term which we can conveniently label ourselves with to summarize the ideology will be no more. Just deal with it. It happens to all ideologies. My idea of mgtow is different from others'. And I accept that other's have different perspective than me.

I think this popular list of don't get married and don't have children is necessary but not sufficient. Again, that is my opinion. I don't think a man who is childless, unmarried man dwelling alone but one who supports female empowerment is a mgtow. To me these are all part of those socio-political games that people play that I have noped out of. I'm not my car, I'm not my job, i'm not the contents of my wallet, i'm sure as fuck not my khakis, and i'm not a label. ZFG brothers.
