The last FBI stats, before they watered down the definition of rape was 8% of accusations proven unfounded after investigation. Add to that accusations that are also unfounded but not provably so. These are difficult to calculate but anecdotal reports from law enforcement suggest that close to 50% reports are BS. Add to that accusations that are not reported to police but posted on social media or spread to acquaintances via word of mouth.

FBI also notes that of all the crimes they track, rape has by far the highest unfounded rate. And again, these are just the accusations that were proven false after investigation.

The core problem with these studies is a statistical slight of hand with the categories being compared.

"Rapist" from the moment accused, but "false accuser" only after a judge's ruling at the end of a lengthy set of legal criteria have all been met.

Dividing "false accusers" by "rapists" gives you any number you want, that can push whatever agenda you want - because you can simply dictate how easy or hard it is to populate the dividend and divisor categories.

Bad faith actors cheat with the categorization then use the results as a 'gotcha' to silence victims of women who chose to destroy lives by weaponizing the state with nothing more than food hole noises.

There's not even enough validity in this methodology to correct or steer them back to any kind of value. They are bare faced lies - not only is nothing being done about this appalling treatment of the innocent, but there's not even any real insight into how big the problem is.

It's funny that when 'only 2%' of false accusations are proven or charged as such then it means that in the eyes of feminists 2% is the justifiable figure, yet if 'only 1%' of rape charges go through it means that the real number is much higher.

The big thing is that for the concrete proven cases on both sides you have 95% of cases falling into the area of unproven where they could be on either side.

I'm not going to guess what the correct figures should be but both sides get screwed with the basis of the legal systems determination of guilt and shitty people abusing it for gain, making that determination harder for victims as time goes on in the interest of calling it fair.

Feminists are playing a semantic game. In legalize, false accusations are accusations proven false, but in our legal system the vast majority of allegations are not proven either true or false. The vast majority are not prosecuted due to lack of evidence and are never legally resolved one way or the other. Obviously many of these unresolved allegations are also untruthful.

Feminists claim allegations proven false (2%) represent all untruthful allegations but obviously that’s false. There’s no way to know what percent are untruthful, but it’s clearly far more than the 2% legally proven false. Studies and arguments vary greatly I’ve seen articles arguing everywhere from 2-90 %. One of the better studies, the Kanin study puts the figure at 41%.

They're interpreting it as uncharitably as possible.

Pretty sure that number came from a judge's off-the-cuff musings, and that when his office was asked for the explanation behind the claim, they couldn't produce anything.

While there hasn't been a single comprehensive study looking into this, I think the FBI and a bunch of local police precincts all said the false accusation rate was much higher - something like 20%-40%, with a lot of variance because we're still lacking proper data collection and research.

The 2% are the ones that have been PROVEN to be false, so there are probably many men who have been wrongly convicted sitting in jail as we speak. Also some rape claims can be proven false before any legal action has taken place or they just haven't been reported. If that makes sense.

This was researched by Edward Greer. It originated back in the early 1970’s through NYC police rape analysis investigators. There is no known source recorded. Greer believes it may be “lost to antiquity”. Laura Kipnis, author of “Unwanted Advances” (highly recommend all males read this book!!), says that an entire pillar of feminist doctrine is based on a dubious statistic that was derived from one task force in NYC from the early 1970’s. Greer himself deduces 1 in 4 (25 PERCENT!!) men found guilty of rape are actually innocent.

Feminist Susan Brownmiller perpetuated the mythical statistic.

On the one hand I find it blatantly obvious that the rate of fale or mistaken accusations is far more than whatever feminists claim it is.

But in terms of the justice system I think it is also beside the point I always want to say to feminists who say the number is "only 2%", so what? What do they want? To make an exception for the presumption of innocence or beyond reasonable doubt standard of guilt in a court of law? AMD if so, why not for every other crime? I am sure the rate of false accusation of assault, theft, and murder could be demonstrated to be low as well. Should those cases also now be presumed guilty, if sexual assault it?

Feminists who think this way (and most seem to) miss the whole point of our justice system. But not exactly surprising since their whole philosophy is basically centered on hysteria and vengefulness.

The best stats we have on the subject indicate that when compared to false reports of other crimes, false reports of rape occur at a rate of over 500% higher than false reports of other crimes.

The evidence is clear, the two things that people can benefit from by filing false reports of (rape and robbery) occur at higher rates than false reports of crimes that have no such benefit.

OK, consider this. What percentage of false accusations are acceptable? Feminists say "only" 2% of accusations are false, implying this is level is OK. What if 10% of accusations are false? Is this still OK? 20%? 30%? Any accusation proven to be false is "NOT OK". Any false accusation means there is a problem, and should be recognised as such.

If i can bring in my main argument:

If you are going to HURT someone, an ex or whatever, for whatever reason (like attention, "winning" the relationship or whatever), and you decide that your method is falsley accuse someone. Why would you go to the police unless said accusations would be to prevent your employment or similar?

If the current number is between 2-8% of proven falsehood, and plenty of cases are dismissed based on lack of evidence and similar, how many cases of false rape accusations happens only in social settings? Like a small get together with 8-9 friends, and you have gone 4 secounds without attention (my ex.). You wouldn't go to the police, and risk having them look into it. Socially said accused would be so hated once the word got out, that even if he had evidence to be innocent, it wouldn't matter.

I'd argue, if counting in all the unreported cases of rape, and all the socially told cases of false rape alligations, FRA would be about 30-50%. That could be events never happend, the names are changed due to something (like you not wanting to have slept with who you did, so you claim it was someone else), or that you changed the consent after sex was done.

And that is without counting on that some of the cases dismissed by the cops due to lack of evidence. How many of those you reccon are false accusations...

Edit. Rape is bad. And i want everyone who experiences this to be able to come forth and be heard. Sadly, as someone who has experienced the reaction of the masses to an alligation that was false, i cannot get behind the social pushes that want to make it easier to get someone reported, suspended or arrested. We see higher rates of proclaimed rape, especially amongst students in school, and i know from experience that people lie plenty of reasons at that age. I would love for feminists to drop their ideology, and come to egalitarianism where we can discuss this without the "woman good man bad" narrative, that Rape is HEAVILY invested in. Try discussing FRA with a feminist is straight up funny, counting on how much hypocrosy they pull. "Not beliving the victim" and "victim blaming" being the most normal.
