What an obnoxious article. If there's a high chance your kids aren't yours, that would be a reason to make paternity testing a priority! Not avoid it! Sheesh.

But yes, there is a big conspiracy against men for this. In many countries it's ILLEGAL to check paternity! Absolutely absurd.

In the U.S. it’s estimated about 29% of paternity tests sought to confirm paternity said he was not the father. This is a self limiting sample so take that into consideration.

I need to write up and then start pushing the idea that women should be willingly paternity testing all the babies they have. It should be automatic and without any prompting from the man. He should never have any doubt that kid is his. She shouldn’t be able to shame him with the “you don’t trust me” BS. It’s such a simple solution.

Here. 1-5%; the 30% number is from tests taken when paternity is in doubt.

Still, the 3.7% number given is pretty shocking when you consider how seriously society takes mistaken maternity. A hospital that handed out the wrong baby 1 in 100 times would be sued into oblivion.

Happened to me in 03. I spent a weekend with a woman. Three weeks later, she tells me she's pregnant. She wants me to marry her. I push back and she starts poisoning the well with our mutual friends. Meanwhile, her symptoms are all weeks earlier than expected. Eight months after two very caucasian people had our weekend of sex, she pushes out a mixed race baby. Absolutely glad I didn't marry. I was in Florida at the time. Based on rulings there, she'd have had me by the shorthairs even if her kid wasn't mine.

Brother man……..I’m Guyanese………paternity fraud is so rampant in my culture we’ve developed a special saying for children of paternity fraud. We call them “blow child”, lol. Jamaicans have the same issue, they call the child of paternity fraud, “jacket”.

The thing is - since Guyana’s and Jamaica’s populations are small, people tend to pick up on it, but the man is always the last to find out, if at all. The man in this situation is often deceived, but everyone else knows b/c everyone knows everyone’s business (due to it being a smaller country).

Kinda sucks because people tend to talk and word does spread but somehow the man doesn’t know.

Yeah, I got into trying to trace my ancestors as far back as I could until I learned about 2% to 10% of people have the incorrect father listed on a birth certificate. At that point, I lost all interest.

being a victim of paternity fraud (knew the girl for 3 year, shook the hand of her father, even spent a week in the house of the grandparents) we as men are basically fucked.

In belgium:

- You have 1 year after discovery to revoke the paternity

- You can only revoke paternity if the community does not see you as the parent (so when you take care of the kid, go to playgrounds and after a time find out is not your kid.....your still paying

- you need approval from the mother to have an official dna test

- the mother & child can go back 22 years to get paternity and get money

- according to the social investigations (the mother was hitting the kid, have police records from this), its ot their job to look for the father when i pointed out i had an idea who the father was. Then she conveyed they only needed someone to pay and in belgium 30% of kids is not raised by his bio dad

The whole system enables women to abuse their kids (she gets 2500 unemployemnt, appartement, help with bills and support with kids) and you can't do nothing about it

an example (have police records to prove)

I called the police because she was hitting me.

- According to the police, if the women hits the man in front of the kid its child abuse

- because normally the man is the aggressor (i do ma) i never touch her, just call the police and hope the dmg is not to much (have 2 times been not be able to go to work because of dmg) the police did not know what to do with her because all safety houses are geared for victims...not aggresors so they left her with me

- all social services came after me but because i had an unofficial dna test they could not touch me (in france i would be in jail for having an unofficial dna test)

- i needed an official dna test (1200 euro) not cost refunded

- total lawyer cost 11k (i have the bill)

- she appealed using a pro deo and appealed the dna test (which was done taking our fingerprints in a forensic lab) so the laway cost will go up

If i did not fought the case in time, the belgium governement would take up to 40% of my salary. Failure to comply they take your driving license, passport and even can jail you.

the crazy part....to revoke the paternity i had to prove to the court i was convinced i was the father when singing the documents. Kid mine or not...they don't care...i could only revoke paternity when i could prove i was lied to

my advice: be carefull with your sperm...i got cut so i dan't have that danger anymore. I see alot of men being turned into money slaves by the european government and on the flip side i see alot of people gettings kids...not taking care of them just for the social welfare

Sometimes people sue phone companies because they overcharged you 50 euros. And we find it completely normal to allow a woman to deceive you about paternity when this implies paying perhaps a thousand dollars a month. Although I understand that this money is not for her but for the child, it is still a very large fraud because she does not have to pay that money. If a woman wants to create a person for fun, or for self-fulfillment, or for whatever reason she wants, she should cover the costs herself if she cannot find a man who wants to undertake that project with her.

I find it shocking that the law allows this kind of fraud in such a shameless way, to the point that in France it is forbidden to carry out private paternity tests under penalty of up to one year in prison or up to 15,000 euros.

The mere fact that governments are interested in having a higher birth rate should not so blatantly violate the rights of men.

I mean you can ask for paternity test, sure why not. But be prepared for the consequences because if your lady has been nothing but faithful to you then you are fucking your relationship HARD. I know a couple where girl has been nothing but the most faithful and supportive. Through ups and downs. She got pregnant and he spent day too long on forums like this. He requested paternity test or he will leave. I remember how heartbroken she was, how much she cried and how she could not believe that he could accuse her of that sort of thing. She agreed and as soon as the results were back she served divorce papers. Which apparently came out to him as a shock because in his perfect little world “it wasn’t a big deal”. It absolutely is. So my dear men before you come with the idea of asking for paternity think hard: DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT YOUR PARTNER WOULD DO THAT? DO YOU HAVE PROOF? CAN YOU TELL THAT BETOND REASONABLE DOUBT? Because if you don’t have 100% assurance that it’s a valid concern you will loose your partner. And will need court battle to see your kid.

Also, for those red pillers here talking about bs like sex 10% and what not. Yes, as a female I can go out and get laid any time. True that. BUT that won’t do me any favour or anything positive. First of all I am happily married. Secondly the only thing I could get from that is a STI, certainly not a meaningful relationship and respectful, loving partner.
