An incident recently happened to me at Disney World that I need some guidance on. Long story short, I'm a young adult male in my late 20's. I was sent to Disney by my employer to participate in a week long training program to learn the "Disney way" so we can incorporate it in our own company.

Anywho, one of the perks of this week long training was park access after 4pm to anywhere in Disney. One of our trainings let out early so I went straight to one of the parks by myself. I arrived at 3pm, so I sat on a bench facing the main entrance waiting for 4pm so I could enter. I'm a Caucasian male wearing a polo shirt, shorts and dark black Oakley sunglasses.

After 15 minutes of people watching I felt like I was being watched, and I was. A plain clothes man with sunglasses and a secret service ear piece was monitoring me from a couple hundred yards away. He'd disappear for a bit, then reappear somewhere else while continuing to monitor me. It was unbelievably uncomfortable to sit through. I found it comical yet also downright creepy. My sunglasses and peripheral vision enabled me to secretly watch him back while he "discretely" watched my movements (aka me sitting on my ass on a bench doing nothing).

Once 4pm hit, I entered the park and the man continued to shadow me from afar while I walked around. At this point I got creeped out and contemplated confronting him. I didn't want to start a problem or create an issue, so I hopped on line for the nearest ride to dip out of his sight.

I felt like I was a criminal, hiding and running for no reason at all. After I got off the ride, "creepy undercover cop guy" was no where to be found.

Anyone experience this automatic guilt before, and do you have any tips to combat it? This whole experience was a bit embarrassing and wish I would have handled it better!

TLDR - Undercover Disney cop was "secretly" monitoring me for over an hour because I was a male by myself wandering through one of their parks
