The whole point of feminism was to fight for equal rights with men. That was several decades ago. Right now, in the modern world, at least in the developed countries there is no right that men have that a women doesn't. Infact, I could say that the law protects women more than men.

I used to date this woman until I broke up last year. She used to be a radical feminist(I realised this later in the relationship). She always used to rant on Twitter(X) how she hates men and the patriarchy and stuff like that. I remember once pointing it out to her about something that sounded very hypocritical and I remember this specifically, she told me that "You men brought it upon yourself, now live with that" like HUH?

I had a very painful breakup last year that occurred cuz she didn't like the fact that I was complaining about not getting my feelings reciprocated and there was nothing she could do about it. How easy right?

This got me thinking what led her to be this way. I realised it's lack of a good father. Her dad worked abroad ever since she was like 7 or 8 yo and came back home once a year. Like bruh. What's the point of marrying and raising a family if you're not there in their life. I feel like a father is the first man that every child is first exposed to. But on the other hand, lil did she appreciate that even he probably hates staying away but it was the only good way he had to bring home some bread? Maybe he's trying his best to raise her and even sent her to college? Like??? The fact that she turned out to be like this just makes me feel sad for her father.

I think for women to turn out to be a good human, mother, wife or a partner, they need to have a good relationship with their father and appreciate what men bring to the society. The lack of this might be the origin of modern feminism and they fail to understand that.
