We put up a front like we're a civilized society - doling out sentences in lieu of corporal punishment. Meanwhile people snicker "oh, they'll take care of guys like that on the inside", drooling over our grotesque fantasies of vigilante justice.

Unless all of us are safe, none of us are safe. You could be the next person on the wrong end of this stick. If we want child molesters and puppy kickers to get flogged in the city square, then get it back on the books (or better yet, take action to get the system we have functioning properly). Otherwise you might run a red light, kill a family, and find yourself getting taken care of on the inside.

Unpopular opinion here I'm sure, but I think it has a lot less to do with it being men, and a lot more to do with the perceived "justice" of criminal men getting forced into buttsex when it's something they would normally be very much against.

so it's more "funny" so to speak because it feels like justice to most people than it is people being okay with it cause it's a guy. I know that doesn't fit the narrative OP is shooting for so I'm a terrible person yadda yadda, but really, it's more to do with seeing the bully get bullied themselves than it is a man thing.

I think people are missing the mark on why the rape jokes apply to men. Think of one you heard. I’m guessing it’s something along the lines of “widening of the butt.” They are jokes that really only apply to men for anatomy reasons. I agree that they are generally unfunny and that it’s a problem. It’s just a relevant joke about women inmates would be pretty fucking contrived and even the audience of the butthole jokes ( generally men, you fucks) would be less likely to find it funny.

The whole prison rape thing is exceedingly rare. Sure, it happens, but when it does, the perps are most likely going to be killed.

This is an agreement by the heads of the prisons. The leaders of the various racial groups within the incarceration system.

Sadly, the idea is considered humorous, despite it really only existing in media.
