It's almost as if women-as-a-collective don't actually want to work, but just want to stay at home and get paid for it.

Weird how progressive thought eventually ends up right back where it started in the 1950s. Just become a housewife and you'll get all of this and more.

this isn't new; the idea originated in 1920s Soviet Union, now mainly seen in eastern countries like Japan, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Zambia. least western capitalism is smart enough to know menstrual leave is not justified. if women want to be in the workforce they need to be prepared to work - not take a full day to tend to their vagina.

Oh come on. I'm getting so sick of seeing all this period stuff everywhere. If it's not junk like this then it's we're supposed to get our personal products paid for by other people or tax dollars. More "little girlville". No thanks. Periods are HARDLY NOTICEABLE. Just go to work. And if you need products then pay for them since we're all supposed to be so "independent".

Enough already.

People already have sick leave. Creating additional leave for some health issues but not others causes all sorts of problems.
Giving women additional time off for the same diary isn’t equal pay for equal work.

If you are sick, don’t go to work. This is true if you have your period, a penis ache, or any other illness. The idea that you should go to work sick to help the economy is the dumbest thing ever.

Seems like the sort of thing that should be sorted by doctors on an individual basis, not politically mass applied.

Yes indeed, plenty of women's priviledges need rolled back, but this one is not about priviledge. Its about biological reality....for some but not all women.

Every minute that a company must pay for non-production for any reason is a financial burden that must ultimately be paid by someone.

Wanting more and more paid leave of any type will simply drive companies offshore or out of business.

This is simple economic reality not rocket science.
