Rayon McIntosh Cleared in McDonald's Beating Case. He had been attacked by 2 women, beat them to the ground, told them to stay down and hit them when they tried to get up. He was fired by McDonalds and always pictured as the agressor.

No women would ever be accused for self defense against two aggressive males.

If you read the text of this and other articles linked from that article, the press reports are clearly distorted.

McDonald's cashier Michael Joseph, 18, testified on Oct. 18 that Darbeau and Edwards, who both have previous arrests, provoked the beating by verbally abusing the restaurant's workers.

He was slapped hard or punched and then followed behind the counter by 2 rough women with criminal background. The area was full of dangeorus weapons, knives and hot oil.

And the article states "verbal abuse"???

Glad he got cleared. I remember seeing the video a while back and sympathizing with when he hit them a few more times. 2:1, anyone does their best to end any torment.

I do not understand why this even went so far, or took so long. The video was evidence enough that he was in the the right. Clearly he was just defending himself. I think that if the two female agressors had been male, this would not have happened.

the worst part was probably how dishonest the mainstream media was by not showing the whole video, only a clip of where he defended himself. they tried to make it look both in writing and by showing only part of the video that he was the aggressor and these women were completely innocent when nothing could be further from the truth

Anyone that's been in a street fight can tell you that being on the wrong side of 2:1 odds is a losing battle. I don't care if you're Bruce Lee fighting two 5'6" 155 lb dudes. You are in trouble. It's not like the movies. Either one of them can pull a knife, a gun, or find a makeshift weapon somewhere nearby and even the odds and end it real fast.

Should you somehow win the advantage, you can spare no precaution in maintaining it. And that's what he did. Not only that, but he did it in as nonlethal a way as humanly possible, and the two women should thank their lucky stars that this man has some compunctions. This man knew precisely what had to be done for his own safety, and anyone that criticizes him has absolutely NO idea of the gravity of the situation he was in.

NEVER trust the MSM when it "reports" the crimes, ALWAYS look for primary sources, like videos.

The woman jumped the counter, the 2nd woman also, at that point "Stand your ground" laws apply - laws which, after Trayvon PR campaign, the House and perhaps Senate will try to, again, take out, so that a victim will not be able to defend himself/herself legally.

I do think that what he did was excessive, but the man had spent 10 years in jail. I guess you learn fast how to stay alive; he used those skills.

He was most definitely justified, but he could've done less then he did. I'm not trying to say he's the problem in the case. The two that assaulted him are most definitely to blame.

But he could've retaliated to a lesser degree than he did to achieve self-defense.

Yes, this is true of most cases. But I feel not saying it is inappropriate, considering the level of profile this got a year or so ago.

This is a great example of the perceived discrimination MRA think they're subject to. If it was a woman who defended herself from two male aggressors and got cleared, MRA would be up in arms about how the entire legal system is misandrist and how "society thinks a woman can't harm a man" or some other such nonsense.

The women were too violent. He had a point, but he was too violent; repeated blows could have killed. The woman who screamed may have saved their lives. She screamed because she knew she was potentially witnessing a killing. Trayvon Martin was probably too violent. He potentially had a point to the degree that he genuinely felt threatened, but he was probably too violent. George Zimmerman screamed because he knew he was potentially being killed. Repeatedly smashing the head into the pavement could kill. Too violent. As in: too. violent. Period. Being potentially in the right in some way does not justify any and all violence that follows.
