Feminists don't care about men's rights. If they did, they wouldn't get angry, defensive, and antagonistic whenever a men's rights issue is brought up in a feminist space. It happens every time. Without fail. If you mention a men's rights issue, the response you get will be one of several:

  1. "The patriarchy hurts men too". In spite of the fact that all of the things we have a problem with wouldn't even EXIST in a society that favored men.
  2. "Derailing"/"Whataboutism"/"This isn't about you". If you care, why am I not allowed to speak?
  3. "You're just an incel" and other variations on the idea that a man can only be disgruntled if he's not getting attention from a female.

It happens every time, and I have been doing this for a long time. Go to a feminist subreddit and post anything even vaguely pro-man. Post anything even vaguely in advocacy of a men's rights issue. See if they don't ban you before you even get the chance to defend yourself from the torrent of insults they throw at you.

This IS us vs. them. They wouldn't have it any other way.

After decades of supporting feminism, then decades of remaining ambivalent, I have come to the same conclusion.

There are good women in the world who support feminism as a movement for gender equality, who remain silent and do not call out radical feminists who peddle hate speech at everything with a penis, including objects like buildings and airconditioning. Their silence is an endorsement of gender hatred.

[–][deleted] 24 points25 points26 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, moderates say they don’t hate men but they believe the propaganda peddled by feminism

[–]Demonspawn 16 points17 points18 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

One of my favorite sayings; there are 2 types of feminists:

  1. Those who hate men.
  2. Those who say "not all feminists" when people points to the man-haters.
  3. The ones who actually attempted to fight the man-haters and got shot down so hard by #1 and #2 that they no longer call themselves feminists.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"ahhhhh the patriarchy made me shoot you down!"

[–]Lethn 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's worse than that, they go onto MRA forums like this one and lecture us from a position of safety about how we need to 'work together' and then like the OP make stupid posts about toxic masculinity and how many need to cry more. I would actually prefer it if they fucked off and kept their opinions to themselves at this point.

[–]ProfessorChuckFinley 10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Feminists don't care about men's rights. If they did, they wouldn't get angry, defensive, and antagonistic whenever a men's rights issue is brought up in a feminist space

They dont only get angry when its brought up in a feminist space, they get angry when its brought up, period.

I can understand why they'd get annoyed if you brought up a mens issue in a space that is specifically intended for feminist discussion. We shouldnt go into their "space" designed for womens issues and start talking about mens issues.

However, they are hostile towards mens issues even when they arent in their "feminist space." A group of friends could just be casually hanging out, and as soon as someones mentions a mens issue, the feminists in the group will flip their shit. "You hate women", "yeah, but women still have it worse" etc.

So yes, the fact that feminists are so hostile towards mens issues is proof that they dont give a shit.

[–]PuddleOfMush 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The problem is that they claim that "men's issues are feminist issues". They claim that "feminists are fighting against men's issues too". Every feminist I have ever spoken to says this. Yet if any of this were true it would be perfectly acceptable, maybe even welcome, to speak about them in feminist spaces. IF it were true.

But no. What they do instead is tell us that we're not needed, that they're on it, they'll solve our problems... then they turn around and complain amongst themselves that WE'RE the problem.

[–]ProfessorChuckFinley 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, the ones saying that "mens issues are feminist issues also" shouldnt be bitching when someone brings up MRA issues in a feminist sub. However not all of them see it that way, and its understandable why they wouldnt wanna talk about mens issues in a feminist space.

Your last paragraph hit the nail on the head. Basically all feminists say that MRAs arent needed because feminism will solve all issues for everyone. Then they totally ignore mens issues, but still get mad when men bring it up, even if men bring it up without saying anything to feminists. Feminist are mad that we have our own space to discuss mens issues and they smear us as misogynists. So yeah, not only do they not care about mens issues, they are opposed to mens rights.

[–]fgrsentinel 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They get mad about the MRM existing because it means they can't as easily control the narrative. Think about it: way back when feminism could ignore men's issues without anyone batting an eye. Then men started to realize that they didn't have as many rights and started talking about it. Feminism reacted by trying to shut them up at first, but as the MRM started to gain traction they claimed feminism would help with men's rights and issues too "eventually." The MRM didn't buy this and started pointing out every instance of feminists attacking men's rights or blocking opportunities to champion them.

Now feminism's at a point where people outside the MRM are questioning their lack of promised action and even some feminists are jumping ship at the realization that it's not about equality... And feminism does not like that. They've lost control of the narrative and they realize if something doesn't change soon, they won't be able to get control of it back.

"The patriarchy hurts men too". In spite of the fact that all of the things we have a problem with wouldn't even EXIST in a society that favored men.

Current society norms favor a certain ideal of man (the known hyper masculine, loud, aggressive, assertive and all that fluff), and berate men who arent close to that ideal. Its not that complicated.

"You're just an incel" and other variations on the idea that a man can only be disgruntled if he's not getting attention from a female.

Shaming men who arent sexually active is a byproduct of said ideal.

I think that most ppl here dont know shit about feminism (and dont try to learn) and still have such strong opinions about it. I dont get it.

[–]EmirikolWoker 44 points45 points46 points 6 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

Many of us were feminists at one point. That's how we got here.

Feminism's core principle is unfounded and hateful, when you unpack it and examine its necessary conditions.

[+]Dolaos-8 points 6 years ago [recovered] (32 children) | Copy Link

All of this are a bunch of nonsense and false info, but this takes the cake:

"nobody can change these monsters (men), and they're not going to change themselves"

The narrative that men are by nature aggressive, selfish and violent is promoted by men (again, the ideal of hyper masculinity), not by feminism. The latter advocates for changes exactly because it doesnt believe that men are biologically doomed to be that way

As for Sally Miller Gearhart that this guy mentions, (aside from the fact that her ideas have been debunked from feminist circles since decades ago) she never advocated for genocide, she advocated for birth control and cloning. It is even in her wikipedia page, the only thing that this guy probably ever read about feminism

[–]BionicTransWomyn 23 points24 points25 points 6 years ago (27 children) | Copy Link

I think you're removing a lot of agency from women if you think women as a whole don't contribute to the standard men are expected to live up to. Women's opinions, behaviors, judgements and selection of sexual partners play a huge role in how men behave, and vice-versa.

The concept of patriarchy would be frankly insulting to me if I was a woman. It basically implies that in the millenia before feminist thought came to be and identified this patriarchy as something to be defeated, women were chafing against an oppressive system and took little to no action to free themselves.

History disagrees with that perspective btw. It abounds with examples of women participating in decisions, economic life and cultural life. Not exactly the baby-making slaves of a patriarchal household. The function of the man as the head of the household was driven by necessity brought about by pregnancy. In societies where political and social power often came about through prowess in war, try to go on campaign pregnant with a baby.

What I'm trying to say is that what feminists decry as "patriarchy" was actually a decentralized and complex set of norms and behaviors that had a lot more give and take than commonly depicted. That set of norms was not about setting the man above the woman as some kind of slavemaster, but as a way to set both genders duties and privileges so that babies can be born safely, society can continue to function and the state has soldiers for its wars.

Except that the Bible and most religious text state in some manner that women are too serve men, and for most of humanity that has been the dominate system in place. The first part of your comment sounds like something you'd hear from Jordan Peterson and that shouldn't be taken as a compliment.

[–]AkwardBee55 11 points12 points13 points 6 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I mean, If I was compared to Jordan Peterson I would take that as a massive compliment, that guy knows his stuff.

[+]Pake1000-1 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (11 children) | Copy Link

Jordan Peterson is the quintessential example of saying something with confidence that might sound profound on its surface, but as you dig the slightest bit in, you learn it masking a large pile of bullshit.

[–]AkwardBee55 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Hmmm.

That's a lot of words your spouting there.

You sound, at least to me, kind of like your own description of Mr. Peterson. You sound confident, but if I dig a little bit, well, you can see where this is going.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I'm far more willing to listen to Peterson than a non entity like you.

[+]Pake10001 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (7 children) | Copy Link

I'm sure you are also far more willing to listen to Trump, since Peterson fans and Trump fans are damn near 1:1.

[–]Greg_W_Allan6 points 6 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

There you go jumping to all sorts of conclusions. I'm Australian and have been a member of the Australian Labor Party since the sixties.

The only thing you knew about me was the one single sentence I responded with in the initial instance and yet you think you can define me and my life.

This is how you proved yourself a complete moron.

[–]BionicTransWomyn 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I in fact will take it as a compliment, thanks. :)

I think you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. There's a lot of stuff in the Bible and you can find a way to make it say whatever you want. That's something you'd know if you'd actually read the Bible. For example, from Corinthians:

"Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman; for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God."

Also the fact the Bible "says so" doesn't mean political entity since or before have governed according to the Bible. Frankly it was such a shallow comment, I am going to stop this train of thought because it seems like a waste of time to continue.

[+]Pake10001 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (7 children) | Copy Link

I think you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

That's fine. I know you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about because your argument gets shot down by actual history.

[–]BionicTransWomyn 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Ah yes the "actual history" you can neither quote nor find.

[+]Pake10001 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

Actual history: Politics being largely influenced by religion and the way society has operated has been influence by religion.

Your claim of history: Politics aren't influence by religion. We have never had countries ruled by religious laws.

[–]BionicTransWomyn2 points 6 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Please point out to me where I said politics aren't influenced by religion and that we never had countries ruled by religious laws?

What I did say is that countries did not apply the Bible to the letter and that even within the Bible, there are plenty of self-contradictory interpretations of what is exactly mandated for gender roles.

Also not the entire world has used Judeo-christian norms.

Read this post. It's already a lot better sourced than your semi-intellectual drivel.

Then read some actual books for a change, about the role of women in the middle-age and early modern period. Then maybe some books about classical society.

[–]Omz-bomz 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And the Bible, and probably most other religious text state that men are to give themselves up for women, and serve them in their own way.

Trying to paint the bible to say that women are supposed to be the man's slave is disingenuous at best, but that's feminism for you.

[+]Pake10001 points 6 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Trying to claim any Abrahamic religious text treats men and women as equals as it most disingenuous claim you could make. That's become MR you.

[–]Omz-bomz 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sure it is, any history or interpretation that isn't according to feminist dogma is disingenuous... Also, didn't say men and women are equals in everything in the bible, but that both men and women have their responsibilities and obligations to the other gender. Not just one sided.

[–]EmirikolWoker 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The narrative that men are by nature aggressive, selfish and violent is promoted by men (again, the ideal of hyper masculinity), not by feminism.

So Feminism doesn't hold that women are oppressed by men? Let's take the common Feminist slogan "Teach Men Not To Rape". What's the starting point with that? It is that, if you don't teach them otherwise, men will rape. That is a necessary condition of the feminist worldview.

If it is the case that women are oppressed by men , and have been so for centuries if not millenia (i.e., feminist patriarchy conjecture), it logically follows that men have been content to either actively oppress (including through violence) their own loved ones, or have been content to sit idly by and let it happen. It assumes that men are morally inferior to women, despite mothers being an incredible impact on the development of a persons values from childhood. This is why the foundational principles of feminism are inherrently anti-male.

Sally Miller Gearhart ... never advocated for genocide, she advocated for birth control and cloning.

She advocated eugenics to reduce the male population, not genocide. I guess that's all fine then! /s

[–]LegendaryEmu1 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The narrative that men are by nature aggressive, selfish and violent is promoted by men

False. I have never heard any man outside of male feminists say men are those things.

At best, i've heard tha ta typical man are by design, more aggressive than a typical woman, thanks to testosterone. But thats it. Its also true.

If you do not think feminism and its followers say this stuff constantly, you obviously haven't spent much time reading what feminists think. There are myriads of articles, 'research', blogs, twitter posts, etc, probably terrabytes of data, maybe more on how awful men are by default. To those who run most of feminism, men have original sin and need to spend their lives repenting for daring to be born with one chromosone different.

Okay, so advocating for only women existing...isn't advocating genocide? Whether you actively kill them, or let them just die off thanks to your actions, its the same thing. And guess what, even ideas in the SCUM manifesto, which does literally call for genocide, are STILL talked about and embraced by some feminists.

[–]enjoycarrots 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The narrative that men are by nature aggressive, selfish and violent is promoted by men

It's not a gender war of men versus women, and this is where a lot of feminists go off the mark. It's promoted by the society in which we live. Men and women are part of that society. So are feminists. Feminists promote this idea very much, with messaging and programs that assume men to be exactly those things. And we're caught up far too much in who deserves the blame instead of what to do about it.

When men bring up a problem men face, and the feminist response is, "well, men caused that." .... how does that help?

[–]jp_mra 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The narrative that men are by nature aggressive, selfish and violent is promoted by men

Biology isn't a social construct. Men have far more testosterone than women, a hormone that specifically makes one more aggressive. Men have biologically evolved to be taller and far stronger than women to protect the family and tribe from external threats.

[–]PuddleOfMush 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If feminists were against "that ideal" then why would they use it as an argument?

If feminists are against stereotypical machismo, WHY do they insinuate that a man lacks it when they want to shut him up??

Excluding high school age douchebags who think having sex makes them cool, no grown adult cares about whether or not a man is getting laid. No one would ever say "You're not having sex and that means your argument is invalid". No one except, guess who? THE GOD DAMN FEMINISTS.

[–]Vektor0 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Current society norms favor a certain ideal of man (the known hyper masculine, loud, aggressive, assertive and all that fluff)

This isn't true at all. Society views those kinds of men as difficult and immature.

Society favors men who are calm, rational, and detached. They see those kinds of men as cool, mature, and desirable.

Whether the situation is a job interview, a date, or a social gathering, the latter type will always get preferential treatment over the former.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I grew up through the heyday of the "patriarchy". Given the state of play in the world today we could do with a damn sight more patriarchy.

[–]enjoycarrots 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Current society norms favor a certain ideal of man (the known hyper masculine, loud, aggressive, assertive and all that fluff), and berate men who arent close to that ideal. Its not that complicated.

Okay ... so how does feminism work toward addressing mens issues from this perspective? The main problem male advocates have with feminism's "it's the patriarchy" response is that it is dismissive. Feminism seeks to fix the patriarchy primarily by addressing problems and hurdles that women face. Most of the actions feminists take to address the patriarchy do nothing to help men with these issues. So saying "the patriarchy hurts men, too" doesn't answer the question being posed. The question isn't "Why are men suffering from these issues?" but "what is feminism doing about it?"

If feminists would like to then say that feminism is a primarily women's movement, which is fine, and thus male issues should be addressed by their own advocacy elsewhere, that's fine. But then feminists come and pull fire alarms when men try to hold conferences on male suicide rates. And people who try to talk about male victims of abuse and domestic violence become pariahs. Advocating for mens rights gets you boxed in as a right wing misogynist. And when you create that box, you shouldn't be surprised when some actual misogynists choose to sit in it.

[–]Lethn 69 points70 points71 points 6 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

This is easily some of the most patronising and irrelevant bullshit I have ever seen in my life and I've seen a lot of feminist propaganda, don't even try to present yourself as a neutral or moderate party, you aren't.

[–]PuddleOfMush 54 points55 points56 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That was my immediate thought too. You can tell this was made not by a neutral party, not by a person who cares about men's issues. It was made by a feminist who thinks men's issues can be solved by winning feminism.

[–]Lethn 33 points34 points35 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

At least it's obvious they're not even hiding it now. I was always suspicious of these toxic masculinity types who try to pretend to care about men's issues now I'm fairly certain they're just feminists trying to pretend they're on our side.

[–][deleted] 20 points21 points22 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It’s a form of gaslighting, they say they want men to open up but once men open up they get accused of mansplaining or something

[–]Lethn 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, I've tried to get them to even acknowledge this but they won't which is why I dismiss them the way I do.

[–]Charon-VII 22 points23 points24 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’d listen to feminists if they had anything remotely intelligent to say.

[–]Darthwxman 30 points31 points32 points 6 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Sure, equality is not "us vs them" (though if guys actually had it great, you could see it that way). But once activism achieves it's initial goals (as feminism did some time ago), it tends to morph into a movement to gain power over others... then it certainly is "us vs them" because you are actively seeking changes to dis-empower one group (or multiple groups) while giving power to your favored group(s).

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points18 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Feminism was always a hate movement

[–]destarolat 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is sad how people don't know about the history of feminism and think that only modern feminism is bad.

Feminism has not gone too far, feminism was always, since the start, about female supremacy. Just read what first wave feminists said.

[+]moist_table -33 points-32 points-31 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Feminism hasn’t reached its goals yet. Sure women can vote bu women are mistreated in many countries. And there are still problems in other countries too. Smaller problems but still valid. Edit: typo

[–]Lethn 22 points23 points24 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You don't give two shits about women in other countries, you're just using their plight as an excuse to bash MRAs.

[–]Darthwxman 16 points17 points18 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Okay... but how much of what western feminists do is international vs domestic?

[–]EmirikolWoker 17 points18 points19 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Have you compared the situation for men in those "many countries"?

For instance: they mutilate girls' genitals somewhere? They do it to men too, just like over here.

Does a lack of citizenship rights coincide with freedom from citizenship responsibilities (e.g., vote for conscription, the right for a husband to dictate what is done with his wife's property along with an obligation for the wellbeing of said wife and children)?

As said elsewhere, Feminism's core principle is unfounded and hateful, so any attempt at womens rights advocacy or equality advocacy will be likewise skewed.

[–]matrixislife 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, that's why feminism is so supportive of female Muslims. Oh wait..

[–]orcwordlaugh 33 points34 points35 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This reads like an attempt at "intersectional" men's rights. No thanks.

It was/is society listening to feminists that has landed everybody in the (relationship) shit we are in today.

[–]DevilComeKnockin 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes.

[–]Zuke88 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This ain't progress, it's taking mens issues and making them about women

[–]MyUserNameIsSkave 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The 8th case, is not a part of the representation of "Incels" by feminists ? Men frustrated in love ?

Moreover, i think it s pretty insukting to reduce men problemes to "not having a girlfriend"...

[–]shateredmind 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

These kinds of post make me really angry since none of this is true at all we cant work together with feminists we need to destroy them all

[–]Misha-Yuri-30 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Feminism has always been about women not about men AND women. So for those who want to argue feminism is actually about equal rights and feminists don’t hate men you’re wrong as hell. Feminism has never helped men in any way and has always been against them.

[–]fgrsentinel 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No joke. You could argue that feminism has a direct kill count with the white feather bullshit from World War I where feminists bullied and shamed teenage boys into signing up for the army even though they were too young to legally serve.

[–]jp_mra 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"If only men acted just like women, we could end sexism."

Uh, no thanks. Not a single core men's rights issue was even mentioned.

Piece of advice for men and women alike

Stop giving a shit

[–]Reptilian_Brain_420 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Post this on r/feminism and enjoy your ban

[–]DevilComeKnockin 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The primary enforcers of "toxic masculinity" (shame) have always been women. Everybody in my highschool thought I was gay, just because I wasn't chasing women all the time. And guess who was meanest about it? Girls.

The simple fact that "man up" is (at my age) now code-talk for "marry a single mom" just proves that attacking a man's masculinity is Feminists go-to tactic throughout life.

[–]Nyanu 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

61% of american women are apparently feminists yet women still generally hold higher standards for men and expect them to fulfill the providing role. Most women still refuse to date unemployed or underemployed men even as they rank up in their careers. Basically they want to have their cake and eat it too economically speaking.

"Dressing like a girl"

Stereotypes dude, that's not "dressing like a girl" What correlation is there?

[–]benderXX 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The girls are not attacking him, they are merely trying to fix the slave at a young age so he can bring goods and services for sex later in life. Be more understanding please.

[–]Mackdude15 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have yet to come across a feminist online who wasnt a gaslighter, misandrist, outright denier of sexism against men

[–]CaptainGopher8 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I feel better now.

[–]shateredmind 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Us vs them the only way to get things to be better is war

Edit: Not the same comic.

This comic comes up from time to time. Here is an older post about it.

Here are two different 'fixed' versions

Version 1

Version 2

[–]Vektor0 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's actually not the same comic tho.

[–]iainmf 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ahh nuts!

I like your post. Spread the message

[+]moist_table -21 points-20 points-19 points 6 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Did I flair this correctly? I just discovered this sub and I’m seeing lots of posts with blatant sexism towards men, but I’m also seeing a lot of feminist-shaming posts as well.

[–]EmirikolWoker 28 points29 points30 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminism is not synonymous with womens rights advocacy. Feminism's core principle is unfounded and hateful, so any attempt at womens rights advocacy or equality advocacy will be likewise skewed.

[–]againstthe 23 points24 points25 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Your post got deleted on the r/feminism sub, I think that tells you just about everything you need to know about the mainstream feminist movement and why people are so wary of it.

[–]Oncefa2 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's hilarious.

People are criticizing this comic for framing men's issues as being caused by sexism against women.

Which is a valid criticism.

But it's apparently too "woke" even for the feminist crowd lol.

[–]againstthe 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They don’t allow you to post anything another than women’s issues in that sub. Men’s issues are literally banned. It’s one of the rules.

[–]Oncefa2 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And yet they claim that men's issues are supposed to be addressed by feminism.

[–]moist_table 5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That’s so annoying. I didn’t realize they were so against men’s rights (even if they say they aren’t). I tried uploading that post twice in r/feminism.

[–]againstthe 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

On the rules of that sub it states that you’re only allowed to post about women’s issues. If feminism was really about equality they wouldn’t discriminate against who’s issues should be talked about.

[–]fgrsentinel 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The claim that they're not against men's issues is less a genuine attempt to help everyone and more a tactic to try to control the narrative and silence the opposition than anything else, sadly. You only need to look at the work of "Doctor" Koss (a feminist "academic" who abused her position to try and erase male rape victims back in the 80s/90s, which is only just now starting to unravel today and is so atrocious I refuse to even acknowledge her degree could have any validity) to see the truth: feminism wants female supremacy over men, not equality of the sexes.

[–]NottNickk 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well I’d say it’s okay, you’re not used to this sub. I’d say it’s fine

[–]Shelzzzz 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

one of they best posts is being downvoted wow. and the irony is r/feminism also removed this lol.

[–]fgrsentinel 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'd honestly argue that's an indication of the hostility feminism has towards men's rights and the distrust we have towards any outside who suggests we try to work with others.

[–]Shelzzzz 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yo why can't we just have a talk and come up with solutions catering to all the groups? Wouldn't that solve this issue much quickly?

[–]fgrsentinel 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The MRM used to try to do that. All that happened was MRAs being mocked, ridiculed, and laughed off.

[–]angels-fan 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Try it.

Go to any of the feminists subs and bring up a male only topic.

It will get deleted and you may or may not get banned.

How do you propose we talk to feminists?
