Tl;dr at the bottom.

When me and my ex wife filled for divorce, it was a tough moment in my life but it wasn't all bad. We admitted to each other that we feel out of love. We were still young, had no kids so it all went smooth.

The only hiccup was that we needed a legal reason for divorce, apparently "falling out of love" couldn't be used.

So, she decided to use the adultery claim, but against me. I just wanted a divorce ASAP but I didn't commit adultery, neither of us did, though I had my suspicions over the years. I guess we ended up going slow with the process as it was a tough thing to go through but before we submitted the paper work, she ended up getting with another man, it wasn't a surprise to me, I've been watching that relationship develop before she realised. She let slip that they sleep together at some point. Due to this, I told her that she would be taking the blame for the divorce, at least legally speaking. I didn't care that she found someone, I was happy, but I didn't get with anyone till the paper work was submitted.

Funny thing is, by the time I left that house and got with someone, she was already on her second relationship which ended a few months later.

When I got with someone, she chastised me for bringing her home on the 2nd date because now she knows where I live and I barely know her (ex wife was meant to be staying over at a friends but decided not to... Because reasons, ended up embarrassing me so we left to go to my gf place) and she also chastised me for sleeping with my gf on the 3rd date, less than a week later my ex wife let slip she met a guy, brought him to our place and slept with him on the first date, I don't dislike her for sleeping with the guy, just that she's a hypocrite...

Tl;dr ex wife wanted me to take the blame for committing adultery during a civil divorce, she slept with another guy before we submitted the paper work, she finally took the blame. She ended up in unstable relationships while I'm still with the girl I took time to meet after and get to know.

If a person cheats, then the person theyre cheating on simply isnt providing them with what they need. But this applies for either gender. Not just women.

Cheating is the final symptom. There may have been signs, but once a person cheats its a clear sign the relationship is over.

The assholery is when the person cheating is not willing to tell the person theyve cheated on. It shows a complete lack of self awareness, particularly a lack of emotional awareness. If you cheat on your partner, tell them straight away. Break the relationship the next day because its clearly not working, and you're clearly not getting what you need from it, and life is too short.
