The more I read on this subreddit of how many men are longing and finding fulfillment in digital partners like AI gf's and are waiting for robot waifus the more I think it could be a good thing.

Usually when there are threads about this topic it's a man complaining about how women will suffer from being replaced by AI and how real women are to shallow with inflated egos anyway. The comments to that are usually that women wouldn't want the rejected men that turn to AI anyway.

Both sides are usually talking about rejecting the other by engaging with artificial intelligence or ignorance.

I think AI partners could be a positive thing. If used correctly. I don't have experience with the way AI responds to the people that engage in a relationship way. I only know that they are trying to be engaging with their audience. Maybe someone can chime in on this topic that has experience engaging in an AI partner.

If we look at hypergamy (in men and women) the question begs what would be the "update" to AI or is it actually making people happy. And for how long.

I wonder if AI could be an undervalued training tool for relationships. If we look at the pattern of guys never having a partner and then actually achieving that - they become confident in themselves. They feel more self esteem and higher value in themselves when they can get a partner. Which tends to lead to people thinking "if I can get this one, I can get someone even better (not just a female thing - the starter wife is a common thing for men)".

So the idea that people would "train" how to behave in a relationship, take away some anxiety, make them feel good about themselves, confident and boost their ego to then go and pursue a person might be a good idea.

I would like to know if the AI partners do actually respond in a "health" way in terms of relationships or if it's just them saying whatever the person wants to hear. I think if AI was trained on a more healthy couples counseling way than just a "I love you, you are the best", it might be a really good way to teach inexperienced people how to figure themselves out in a relationship. They could learn what they want and need from a relationship and even how to properly communicate.

This could prevent a lot of abuse and bad relationships. Almost like a training course for people that want to engage with others.

Maybe in the future the check boxes people have to fill might add an AI relationship experience for a certain amount of time. And because it's digital you could even get proper data from it. You could base dating apps on the way people behave in AI relationships and figure out by certain metrics how well people would match with each other.

I know that dating apps already have filters and you can fill out forms for likes and wants and things. I wonder if there will be a requirement to finish a AI relationship course at some point. Basically you can get to know each other without having to do the work of vetting. AI would have done that already.

Obviously you run the risk of people abusing the system and pretending to be a certain person or using AI to pretend to be them.

So this would be most likely a system for people that are seriously looking for LTR.

Since we are in the process of automating every human experience and expression (like art) we could also completely digitalize this experience.

What would be the pros and cons you see with this? Would a AI Partner degree you can compare with a potential partner be a good way to vet for a real partner or should we just outsource everything to AI including the actual relationship part?

Please debate. I'm curious about the thoughts on this.
