I don't personally employ dread game, but you have to be honest about the context for its use. These relationships were already failing (certainly from the male perspective) before the man employed dread game. And dread game does force a resolution. Either the man gains respect and sex he wants, or the relationship ends. Either option is preferable to wasting his time in a shitty, sexless relationship.

So, first of all, look at the adultery sub, it seems to be female oriented with women posting about their struggles with their husbands cheating on them. Like this comment. A place like this is going to have a very large degree of confirmation bias or bias all over it, since your asking women their perspective in a place where women go to talk about why their unsatisfied with their SO's. It would be like trying to get advice on how to be more aggressive in bed from a sub for female sexual assault victims.

Since dreadgame isn't a term used in studies, what kind of data would be interesting to you?

I think what a lot of guys notice is that girls tend to react positively if they notice that their guy can attract other girls. Subsequently, a lot of guys realise that girls can go off you if they realise you arent attractive to anyone but her anymore.

Most of the time, this is the guy's fault for getting lazy and complacently thinking that he's got her now, so she's gonna be into him whatever.

If you look at the first 6 or 7 steps outlined there, you'll see that they're mostly addressing the guys attractiveness and getting him back into looking after himself properly.

With a bit of luck, this could bring you back to being attractive. If it doesnt work then you'll be in reasonable shape when it is time to break up.

If you read the comments on the Dread Game RP post youll see quite a few people arguing that after about level 6 it gets manipulative and it isnt a good idea to 'go nuclear'.

Please, if you're going to reply, try to include some actual data. I'm tired of faith ruling the day in here.

Its been said like gazillion times on mrp that the probability of success with your wife decreases at the later steps, thats why you dont skip them and dont go to the active dread before you exhausted all resaurces of passive one. I have personally dread gamed girls and had massive success with it. I first learned it on accident way before TRP existed. I was just at a party and my FWB was fading away from me. She refused sex the night before because she was "tired." Sort of dodging PDA etc. some annoying, average looking girl kind of cornered me and was trying to impress me, not even flirtatiously just trying to tell me all the cool bands she knew. I wasn't into ether at all, but after I escaped the conversation FWB was all over me immediately. We went home and she was just trashing the girl who did suck, and she was grabbing me tightly etc. we fucked twice that night and once in the morning before breakfast, she was as enthusiastic as when we first got together. That extended the relationship a few weeks.

After that I've tried just talking to other girls when a girl is mad at me, being frigid etc and it doesn't always work but frequently does extremely well.

I think dread game could work if your wife is a SAHM and financially dependent. When she puts "giving you more sex" on the scale across from "putting the kids in daycare and finding a job," sex may win out. I'm not sure whether the kind of sex you get under those circumstances is going to be worth the bother, though. And beware trying these tactics on a woman with her own money, who doesn't have to put up with a (possibly) cheating partner! :-o

You have to separate passive dread and active dread.

Passive dread is simply turning yourself into a man that turns other women's heads. You aren't actively trying to do anything. If a woman sees other women interested in her man, it will increase her attraction.

Active dread, yeah, I think is horse shit. Fuck, I might as well say, "either fuck me or I'll kill you". It's the same kind of forced, manipulative trick. It's not real. Fear of abandonment !== Attraction.

I've seen it work in very toxic relationships, but these relationships were messy throughout, and eventually end. In my estimation(as all of this has been) the women in these relationships, while nice enough, were mentally ill to some extent.

Anyone who is being subjected to Dread Game would have to be heavily dependent on their partner in order for it to work for any length of time: If you aren't financially or emotionally dependent on your partner, then you will probably realize very quickly that they actually do see you as disposable.

I've learned from experience that if you feel the need to "dread" her, it's time to ditch her and move on to someone else. It's a clear sign there isn't enough attraction on her part for the relationship to be a happy/healthy one.
