It's a central TRP doctrine that women are not loyal. See this comment to illustrate the TRP outlook. We can all relate to the tension between "thrill and stability," and it's painful to think about how your spouse might be fantasizing about something that you can't give them. Even if you're hotter than another person, you can't give them that thrill and that sense of illicit passion. The comment mentions some studies showing that people orgasm more when they're cheating, which is dark. That sounds like a reason to avoid the hell of marriage. But then there's the happiness of stability...

1: What do you think about the tension between "thrill and stability?"

2: What do you think about female loyalty?

3: What EXACTLY does "branch-swinging" mean? Does it entail emotional/physical cheating?

The following definition is vague about what exactly branch-swinging entails:

Branch swinging or vine swinging is when women let go of a relationship with one man after getting a firm grip on the next. Attractive women are rarely single, and tend to go directly from one man to the next because they have new guys lined up already. While they're with any given guy, they may be constantly watching for better options. Once the upgrade has been secured, the current man is disposable.

Given many women's openness to branch swing, they may use the boyfriend objection (or husband objection) more as a shit test than as a way of definitively shutting down any prospect of a guy's getting her to leave her current guy for him.

darkjohanson suggests that after a breakup, "Remember that she is on the next one already"; "Much like monkeys, women never swing from a branch without holding onto another one."

This breakdown is also vague about whether emotional/physical cheating is occurring. At which "stage" does genuine emotional/physical cheating start (there are 6 "stages")?

(Emotional cheating is a murky concept in itself, unlike physical cheating: What constitutes emotional cheating?)

4: How can women branch-swing in order to "move up" to get a higher-value man if high-value men see branch-swinging as a huge red flag?

One user said:

you don't find these women on the dating market because they are branch-swinging from relationship to relationship.

Quality women are not branch swinging from relationship to relationship. That open style hypergamy is the very thing that will keep a high quality man from ever giving her his commitment. A quality women knows this very well.

/u/Cho_Assmilk later added:

Their value diminishes drastically with quality men for it. Most quality men will never date a women who left a man for them. This is one of the top red flags.
