It is worth noting that this discussion is happening in the context of broken women. The tumblr itself seems to be about sexual violence and recovery - hence the blog's byline: "thriving past the abuse of violence and sexual trauma". Also, this quote suggests the same:

Hard-core focus on your recovery so that as your mental health improves, so does your selection in men.

They recognize that they're screwed up, and that being emotionally healthy will result in being better about "selecting men". In that context, getting hot for the "bad boys" might be a manifestation of these women's self-destructive emotional headspace. We're not necessarily talking about normal, healthy women here.

It reminded me a little bit of the whole Ayn Rand thing - she was raped when she was younger, and then she needed to have rape roleplay to get off later in life. Sexually, she was pretty screwed up. If I remember right, her husband left her partially because he couldn't handle the stress of roleplaying rape scenarios everytime they had sex. It's not surprising that people who have sexual trauma need something a lot more emotionally charged than having vanilla sex with non-bad boys.

I really don't Se this as a litmus test for rp. These broken women and not representive of all women. And I think most women get bad boys are bad news

Is it possible that abused women marry safe men to cure themselves of their attraction to predators, like gay men marry women to try to cure themselves of their attraction to men? I have no bias either way, I'm genuinely curious.

Yes; it proves that insecure, damaged women with low self esteem, who have experienced domestic violence in their past, live up to the trp view of AWALT. Just like everyone keeps telling them.
