Coronavirus mostly affects the elderly (people 60 and up) so the non-retirement-home SMP will stay unaffected. In retirement homes though, the virus will level the playing field: “good or bad, handsome or ugly, rich or poor, they are all equal now” (Barry Lyndon).

In the meantime, if you want to kiss a girl but can’t read the situation, ask her if she’s willing to risk getting coronavirus. Tried this line the other night and it worked, so based on my sample size of 1 I think it’s good to go.

If you want to be safe, tie your girl up and "quarantine" her for 14 days in your bedroom, tell her you're just doing your part to fight the pandemic, call both your employers and explain the situation, make sure you have plenty of booze, grilled cheese, fruits & veggies, to last a fortnight and get to fuckin'.

I have been thinking about that myself in the past few days.

The rational thing to do would be to switch from casual_sex/FWB/FB/Sugar/hookups to monogamous long-term relationships. But humans are not rational, so . . . not much will change.

In the past, whenever there was an outbreak, the local smp simply ceased to exist. Up until everything was in the "clear" and the plague was gone.

Its pretty obvious really. Fear trumps attraction. A lady might be a perfect 10/10, but if a dude knows she has a contagious deadly virus, he probably wont try to bone her.

But I will assume that even with the addition of OLD, the smp will still dissappear if it ever poses a threat.

It is a very contagious disease but one which doesn't seem to be extremely deadly unless there are underlying medical issues...

It does seem scary because of the nature of its contagiousness but when you consider that at this point in the last two similar pandemics in 2009 and 2012...swine flu had killed nearly 12000 Americans and Ebola had killed around 3500 Americans.

Those two disease outbreaks KILLED nearly 500K worldwide....

The flu in the US at this point apparently has killed 10000x times the number of Americans just in the last 12months...so I would say be as clean, sanitary as possible and try to avoid any concurrent illnesses and it shouldn't be big deal.

It's main threat seems to be it's contagion rate, not it's death rate.....as long as it doesn't mutate to a more deathly version....the real death bringer will be a disease which combines the contagion of Corona with the kill rate of Ebola or the Plague.

It's a virus. It's like the flu. It makes the very old, sick, and young occasionally die. Just like every other virus.

Name everyone you know killed by SARS, or MERS, or hell, AIDS at this point.

I cannot think of anyone I knew that ever died from any viral situation. But I don't get out much.

Wash your hands. There is still the real actual flu blowing around. Tanking the economy? No problem. A volatile market is when people make money. UP and down and up and DOWN and you hedge sides against each other.

Dating? Pregnancy, HIV, herpes, and everything else doesn't stop hookups, so I doubt some non-danger will either.

Do what you normally do.
