Nice people most of the time are people who are nice didn't had a hard life.

I could just as easily say that a person who grew up with a hard life would be more likely to be callous and cold as a result of their life.

I grew up in a VERY rough area of the UK. Very high poverty, lots of violence, drugs, theft, murders, rapes, you name it. We have it in spades. Everyone here has a hard life and there's LOTS of evil bastards here. There's also a lot of kind, sweet people.

I've also known very rich people who're from such soft backgrounds that it makes a little part of me angry in my jealousy. Some of them were the absolute bastards. Dismissive, mean and self absorbed. A lot of the more well off people were lovely towards me too.

I was going to go through everything and every point, but I actually can't be arsed. Fuck it.

I’m not trying to be mean, but “a villain will sacrifice the whole world for you, and a hero will sacrifice you for the world". Is something I would of re-blogged on Tumblr in my YA phase as a teenager. It’s nice to see that fantasy of the villain hating the world but loving you is still going strong.

What even is your definition of "nice" or "bad"? Your "nice person" doesn't actually sound like someone who would be called nice, just a strict stickler for rules which isn't the same as being nice to anyone. Someone who's actually nice to you will care about you, but someone who's seen as evil (which is a strong word, by the way, I doubt you have met someone who is genuinely viewed as evil but it applies to people who are a bit of a dick too) is more likely not to care about you and betray you, you're unlikely to be different or special.

Disagree. Hard life takes away your ego and teaches you to appreciate small things in life. You'll find more kind people among those who faced real struggle in life.

I don’t like fake nice people. Fake nice people are just neutral, polite, maybe they spout some popular political opinion, but they aren’t your friends and you shouldn’t share too much with them. But they sometimes do nice things for you to appear good in front of others, so they can be useful.

“Villains” though, are not any better. Never got anything good from those. If they treat others badly, it will probably extend to you eventually. A lot of how people treat others has nothing to do with those people, but more with what’s going on inside their head. On the other hand, people can be deviant from the social norm but really good, authentic and loyal too, but they are not “villains”.

I agree though that it’s easier to see who’s good and who’s merely polite when you see life put them through tests. A person who never had any hardship is an unopened box with mystery contents.

Your argument is you can’t trust someone who’s nice to everyone cuz they don’t treat you special? Why do you think that nice people are more likely to betray you? That doesn’t sound very nice at all

Great way of summing up how some women view it. In reality being nice should have nothing to do with attraction. Women who like assholes are selling themselves short thinking they can’t find an attractive/interesting man who’s nice. By being assholes to themselves they come up with every way they can think of to justify disliking nice men, however the root of this problem is that they subconsciously know they’re not good people themselves. This is not all women but I would say a slight majority.

Niceness is usually a tactic used to try to manipulate others. Not the same thing as kindness. It all depends on the motives and intentions of the person.
