For me the irony is how all those 36 retweeters actually contribute to making the red pill more widely known.

That's how I personally found RP: someone online described it as the worst evil since Hitler or sth along those lines and it made me curious, so I looked it up.

Besides, The red pill is just a somewhat fitting metaphore, the Matrix has little to do with TRP. If you want to enjoy some sweet irony, you'd be better off commenting on the fact that Fight Club (which has far more relevance for redpillers) was written by a gay dude.

Not that I am surprised that a bluepiller thinks he's smart for bringing this up.

Identity politics are for angsty tweens on Tumblr. I don't care who came up with an idea, it either stands on its own merit or it doesn't.

Also why would TRP "pledge our existence" to a couple of mentally ill brothers? They came up with a decent film (and then 2 shitty sequels) that TRP uses as an analogy. If they never made the movie the ideas would still exist we'd just draw parallels from elsewhere. The "society lied to you here's what's really happening" trope isn't exactly unique to The Matrix films.
