I think anyone with a significant amount more potential power in any aspect has an obligation to make sure that this has as little impact on the actual power balance of their relationship as possible. For example, if you have the potential to economically control someone, it's good to make sure they have emergency funds and are able to survive on their own financially if need be, or if they rely on your intellectual ability to do important tasks, that they know at least in theory how to do them or get help to do them.

There is always going to be a power imbalance. The differences in sex-drive alone gives women a lot of power. Men being larger creates a power imbalance. Money creates a power imbalance.
