Gay relationships can have a very different dynamic than heterosexual ones. Even the term "gay relationships" is somewhat misleading because male-male relationships/dating seems to have a very different vibe than female-female dating.

When I was dating women and hanging with a lot of gay men and women (in San Francisco in the 1990s), I was always jealous of gay men. They didn't seem to be stuck with choosing partners from what I would describe as the Eeyore crowd (moody, dumpy, frumpy). Sure there was always a unicorn in there, too, but she was always dating someone else. Branch swinging (didn't have that term then) seemed to be the way that many relationships were started and ended.

In short, men and women are really, really different creatures, and those differences manifest often in the gay and lesbian relationships.

RP is focused on the huge, complex world of male-female dynamics.

I can't say much about homosexuals other than that we already know two things about them. 1. Gay men like to fuck. 2. Lesbians love to beat each other. TRP doesn't care about lesbians, unless they're 'lesbians' who just need a good dicking.

With the exception of the fact that gay men give bi dudes lots of shit, I found that the limited experience I've had with those relationships has been very different than my experience with straight ones.

There seems to be a lot of ire thrown your way if you're "straight acting" or you don't dig on the top/bottom dynamic that people seem to love. If you're with a guy who is more masculine and you outclass him in some area (martial artist, bigger dick, et) of masculinity he can get real upset about it. In my experience people wanted me for the more feminine role because of my height.

These experiences, along with being approached and having things purchased for me, gave me an interesting look into how the other side of the dance operates. It made the game a lot easier to play.

Also. Gay men hate women more than the red pill ever could.

Can't speak to lesbian relationships, but gay male relationships are interesting because they point to a blind spot on red pill beliefs. A major assumption is that male = masculine and female = feminine which works often enough for heterosexuals that it is a useful approximation. However, with gay men it becomes ambiguous because they can play feminine roles, masculine roles, or somewhere in between.

In my own experience, i feel red pill ideas map pretty well to gay male interactions. They are just more complex, a bit like playing chess vs checkers. If a masc guy is trying to attract a femme guy it works pretty much the same. Other situations are beyond what red pill has to offer. I wish /r/alttrp got more traffic because there is a lot of interesting theory to be developed there.

Most of your ideology is about heterosexual relationships and it involves a tremendous amount of generalizing the behaviors of men and women, and especially the way they interact with their partners.

That's because we're only really interested in relationships (loose term) with heterosexual women. Gay dudes don't interest us and we won't interest lesbians, so as a whole, TRP doesn't give either group much thought.

We do have a sub for that one though, /r/AltTRP.

I do however have a close gay friend so allow me to speculate wildly based on what little I've observed.

Gay relationships seem to have a strong dominant/submissive dynamic from the start. There is a clear 'Captain' n the relationship. I've also noticed that many 'bottoms' behave in an extremely feminine manner.

I instinctively understand Red Pill ideas, and only have to remind myself of the parts that are not so obvious. I think that everybody who isn't a sociopath probably gets a few of the rules wrong until they learn not to. The only reason sociopaths may not is that their emotional handicap is a social advantage that can help them come to some conclusions on their own without emotional barriers or self-delusion.

But all of that is only meant to qualify the statement that, to me, TRP feels like a natural way of things.

I have no inner model for the gay relationship at all, and I have no idea whatsoever if there are even any generalized guidelines that could work.

My best guess is that in cases where somebody's neurogender matches those typically attributed to the opposite sex, and their partner more closely matches their biogender, they could probably benefit from TRP.

But the fact that I have not just described all possible gay relationships, nor even scratched the surface, is a source of cognitive dissonance and confusion. This is why homosexuality can confuse heterosexual people -- especially those in relationships with traditional roles.

I have often wondered if some people are homophobic due to that confusion and concerns about societal impact, rather than religious dogma or closeted urges.

edit: The comments in this thread are interesting, but shouldn't we leave it to gay people to define together what their dynamics most often are and what standards and expectations or roles they will observe? Knowing a few gay people doesn't make me feel qualified to base broad assertions on such a narrow sampling.

I honestly think RP should think about homosexual relationships more. The problem with RP is RP sees the sexual world as quite binary. Women like to be dominated and men like to dominate. But then in gay relationships you have all kinds of pairings and submissivness and being dominant and everything else and perhaps its more apparent to us because there are two men or two women so you can't automatically assume one is dominant. Imo people are shades in their sexuality. I don't think many people are that far from homosexuality or homosexual encounter if given opportunity and I don't think most men or women only think of dominant or submissive. There are shades and contradictions in sexuality.
