I mean 90% if the chicks here are like “yeah looks matter but I’m just gonna have sex with that guy not marry him. Personality is way more important to me.”… which is basically like a guy saying “yeah I’m gonna buy expensive gifts for my only fans chick, but my girlfriend gets to have relationship sex with me.”

Chicks are painfully unaware of how backward they have it… No matter what they say, FWBs are treated much better than boyfriend candidates.

No, no selective reading skills here.

The problem being addressed here is that men have heard a theme all throughout their/our lives that "personality matters more/looks don't matter" that has been spread by women. However, most men have not found that to be true, literally and figuratively. Women are not as "deep" or virtuous as they've tried to appear. Quite the contrary actually - women are just as shallow as men are. That jig is up, the cat's out of the bag, the curtain has fallen, the cloak has been lifted, etc, and it's women who have exposed themselves through their own contradictions.

We now know that women are subject to various errors in logic and thinking like the Halo Effect, in which women will rationalize attractive men as nice and kind even if they aren't really as nice and as kind as women believe they are.

We are also aware that "personality" is deferred to in order to blame men for their lack of success with women even though the men that women reject have nothing "wrong" with their personalities. There are genuinely nice guys who are all around great dudes but they fail to activate women's reproductive drives and mechanisms because they aren't physically attractive and they don't communicate enough masculinity through the combination of their appearance and actions.

Of course, it's not as simple as that because I think our evolutionary past has resulted in a disconnect between women's brains and their bodies as far as what they're attracted to, so while they say one thing, they respond to and pursue something different, if not the complete opposite of what they say. Perhaps that was to avoid being exposed as shallow as a paint can lid, or perhaps it was because women have been conditioned to say that they like certain things that they may like but are not sexually attracted to. Who really knows how the wiring looks like in people's brains, but this is what men observe in such numbers that we know we're not imagining things or playing guessing games anymore.

I could write more but I'll leave it at that.

ig this is anecdotal in nature but I see an pretty large quantity of comments from women talking about how personality or effort is the thing stopping most guys from getting sex

And every time this sort of thing comes up theres atleast a few women commenting about some 5 foot balding Indian chad that slayed because of his personality

Yes looks matter, but it's women spinning the looks matter less than personality. Note less, not don't matter.

Also looks matter more in casual dating and less in relationships, where money matters more than looks or relationships. This I've overheard from countless inebriated women - odd how the truth comes out when women are tipsy.

I came of age in the 80s, when in my country my peers were serving 2 years National Service in the military. The average guy was masculine, fit, tanned and seriously dangerous. The dating game reflected today, minus social media - Thus just a smaller radius.

Casual sex was more personal, as you had to be in physical proximity, but it was still, as today on a tier system - the most handsome first and so forth.

For those after casual sex, most had boyfriends already, many of the boyfriends were already soldiers.

The easiest targets for casual sex were in order:

Nursing students
Nurses
Secretarial students
Secretaries
University students
College students

I didn't really have good access to the internet until I was 14 so everything I had came from female friends, movies and all other the other media that teaches blue pill. And let me tell you that it can't get more bluepilled than germany. My female friends repeated the same stuff to my other male friend who was looking for something by saying the usual "you shouldn't change for someone else", "be more confident", "looks is not thaaaat important", "I think you look great!!" etc. just virtue signaling in general. He is 6'3 but skinny with a thin face, bad skin and overall maybe a 4. Movies always had great looking guys but I didn't question it because I was there for actually watching the movie and the story was always that you can have success by being brave/nice.

It changed a bit when I went on the internet more and the shallowness that comes with social media. The thing is though that a lot of women even on the internet are still virtue signaling. I lurk at r/short sometimes (I am 6'1 dw) and when the 5'1 girls say they want a guy who is just a couple inches taller than them I can't believe that stuff but other men do.

Obviously the women in TRP, RPW, FDS and PPD are more honest about what turns them on and what doesn't

I think it’s because a woman will say that she’s perfectly happy being married to a guy who she doesn’t find the most attractive but his personality is what sealed it for her but then also say that she has had a general a share of hookups and FWBs. What made her sleep with the other guys first? Looks definitely matter but why didn’t they also look for personality to go with it for a relationship?

Men are more results oriented, when the final result is sexual access anything that gets them there is valid. What doesn't work is invalid until proven.

You can look like Chad, but without an ounce of game you get no results.

You can however, not be a total Chad in looks but game your way to results.

When these people say "it doesn't matter" it only sums up that rule. It's the ability to turn on the girl and sustain it is what's crucial to their end goal.

This goes against the indoctrination of "Disney", that everyone lives happily ever after and deserves to be loved for who they are. That isn't true, men only come to understand this through failure.

Feminist propaganda from media, mothers, sisters, schools, ect...

We're told looks don't matter, that men are shallow and should stop being shallow, and should be more like women instead.

Until we learn women are shallower than men and also care about more than looks.

Also a part of it comes from how when we are kids, we see adults dating each others, adult that seem both ugly to us, especially male adults.

One thing you seem to not understand is that this sub is purple pill debate where we oppose RP points to BPs, and one blue pilled perspective is that looks do not matter, or are lowest priority. So people are debating against it.

looks don't matter

They matter to women who are convinced that they don't need a man for his money. Looks don't matter to women who want or need a meal ticket.

Globally most women are after a meal ticket. In richer countries, women are initially not after a meal ticket until in their thirties they also are.

Strategic consideration for average-looking men: ignore women who are spoiled with money by their families, by a so-called woke employer, or by the government.

I'd have imagined anyone who has looked at the media, not been raised in a highly isolated ideological environment (ie religion) or glanced at research on relationships would know attractiveness matters.

That a few men needed an ideology that frames itself as Neo breaking free of the matrix to tell them this says more about them than anything. Society has never given us an the general message that looks don't matter. This is something well-adjusted people come to realize at a pretty early age, usually as a child in school, where we begin to see looks and physicality rewarded.

I searched the phrase "looks don't matter" on this sub and Googled it just for curiosity. Basically no one claiming it.

Condescending someone isn't the same as debating, you're going to struggle finding any human being who genuinely believes looks don't matter.

I'm not an expert in debate but I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to say something that proves your opponent's position. Plus, by logic you just proved that personality doesn't really matter in the same point your using in an attempt to argue that it does. Brilliant.

you can elevate your score a bit by having that great personality or downgrade your score by having a bad personality. Whether the group of women going after bad boys is the rule or damaged women.

This is a moot point because you just proved personality doesn't matter(as much as looks)

To me(and I truly believe the men here would agree) women IRL are far more pleasant than the ladies on here, and contrary to popular belief, even if they don't say it to your face, they show it in their actions.
