I have noticed that the idea of setting boundaries in a relationship has really began to pick up traction. The idea behind it is you cannot tell someone what they are allowed to do or not do, but you can tell them what certain behaviors/actions you will not stick around for . (Kind of the same thing tho) but where do you draw the line on what’s fair and what’s more controlling than actual boundaries or does that even exist? A few random examples: a man can’t tell a woman what she can’t wear, but can he say that if your going to go out dressed provocatively then I don’t want to be in this relationship? Or a woman can’t tell a man you have to let me go through your phone but can she say that she’s not willing to be in a relationship that isn’t completely transparent with no secrets. I know that boundaries can be very healthy but when do they become no longer healthy?
