We always hear about how single women are terrible partners for high value men because of all the drama that comes with being a stepdad. They have to take care of the kids with no real authority and have to pay for household expenses related to the kid.

I propose this, for women it is far worst even if you are average to date a man with kids. You date and marry a single dad and their entire financial outlook is predicated on either paying child support or having a kid in your marital home 50% of the time. The stepmother is often demonized and the dads expect the new wife to pick up the slack in taking care of the stepkids when they are around.

If the new wife has a child, her child will always be lesser in the eyes of family and she doesn’t get to experience all the firsts and will have her partner downplay the experience because he has done it before.

There is always an outside force that has control in your house. A man can exert some authority just by saying my house, my rules but men rarely have the balls to enforce that edict against their ex wives about the kids.

Financially it will always be a shit show. Even if your spouse works their ass off to make more money, a spiteful ex can go to court and get the child support increased. Not to mention family vacations or activities. Everything is always compared. If you want to take your kid to Disney they can go because the other kids have to be included.

I would say, no woman should risk dating a single dad.
