People on this sub don’t understand that masculinity exists along a granular spectrum and that everything isn’t so black and white.

Communities like this tell people that the vast majority of men hardly ever get laid whereas the some of them have a harem of women that will give them sex whenever they want…this is complete bullshit.

Generally speaking, most men exist somewhere in the middle. Furthermore, as long as a guy is just slightly above average (this can be height, education, looks, charm…etc.) he’s more than capable of dating regularly while still being fairly selective.

My perception might be skewed because I’m still in university, but generally speaking I’d say that getting a date with someone new every other week isn’t all that hard especially with advent of apps like Tinder. That being said, it’s not like I can walk into a bar and go home with whomever I fancy (and realistically no one who isn’t a mega celebrity could). When asking my friends about this, their experience in general aligns with mine (they can get sex regularly but are still regularly faced with rejection).

In summary, the myth of “Chad” and “Brad” is just used to discourage men from self-improving even though the vast majority of men fall somewhere in between.
