My doctor told me he’s worried for my health because I am obese. I call myself obese and do not like it because it causes health problems. I will still call myself even though people think I’m not, because that is the medical definition.

Now, if my doctor is discussing concerns for my health because he wants to help, and discussing ways to exercise in a way that I can (physically I have no issue moving, I really don’t look too bad and the extra weight doesn’t stop me from being able to move or even run, what stops me is I’m allergic to heat and get hives if my body heats up) in order to lose weight and be healthy again, and I’ve got a complexion so pale that I’ve been asked by normal white people if I’m albino (and that was before I became allergic to heat!), then there’s no way she can call it that.

That’s like saying the term “sickle cell disease” is anti black just because someone who’s black has a higher chance of getting it, even though it’s due to genetics and we can’t help it if certain groups have a genetic disposition to certain diseases. People are crazy sometimes
