I feel that a lot of discussions going on around on this post are revolving around the same thing.

My neighbor's husband decided to become a trans woman. I've known them both for 20+ years. She said to him "Sorry, I married a man. If you're not a man, then you're not my spouse."

Being so close to the situation, I can't say I fault her at all for her position. He moved out to an apartment nearby, as they have 2 kids together (the one younger son became a trans girl before the father did) and share parental duties.

Regardless, they're still my friends, and I support them both emotionally and mentally as much as I can.
