If you can say the joke in an office setting, it's an appropriate joke to tell a stranger. Please imagine a situation where you're a woman and tell your coworkers(followers) a joke about how you want to steal a kidney to make some quick money, them knowing you'd obviously never do it, and then someone you've never seen or talked to before approaches you joking about how he wants nudes of you, then likens you to a whore by saying he'll sell them(the "joke" here is that you have the moral integrity of someone who would agree to letting him, of all people, to sell your nudes), and then negs himself by saying he has no income i.e he's dependent on someone else for their well-being in this world because they're such a mess.

But yeah, "some brains just work different" "women just aren't taught to be as smart so they never can be because in my eyes women can never be in control of their own lives and they always have to be doing it because of an external factor", no, y'all just fucking retarded.

You don't understand the concept of building a social network, and how that is definitely not the kind of message you want to be sending out to your social contacts; that you're the kind of person where you allow strangers to come up to you and tell creepy jokes. Tim follows you on Twitter and sees you reply to a creepy joke made by some guy Tim doesn't know, next time Tim sees you on the street he cracks a creepy joke.
You don't know Tim, he's a friend of a friend and just followed you after meeting you one time. Maybe he just does that with everyone. Maybe he wants to be friends. Maybe he's sexually interested. Maybe he's a stalker. Maybe he's a creeper. Now you have to think, what happens when I deny them? You tell them you don't want to talk to them? Or that their joke was inappropriate?
The person gets mad. They feel like they're owed your time, your existence. Like they're entitled to it. And some people deal with this by just walking away when they're mad; disengaging and dealing with the problem in other ways. But some get insulted. Some lash out. Some follow you home, waiting till 5am outside your door, occasionally knocking and you can't contact anyone either because you forgot your phone. You become afraid to sleep in that house ever again, not knowing if he'll one day return.
This happens to you five hundred times through your life in different scenarios. Don't want to sit in the backseat of a car anymore because it reminds you of the time your uncle groped you. Don't like weed because the first guy giving it to you tried to fuck you while you were high. Eventually, you start disliking the creepy initiatives.

This is called cognitive empathy. Richard Dawkins' the Selfish Gene, 1976, gives scientific promise to this altruistic thought pattern. He explains how this sort of thinking was what led to him discovering many scientific advances.

I won’t imagine a scenario where I’m a woman joking to my coworkers about getting a boyfriend JUST so that I can cut out his organs in order to buy an iPhone. I would never make a joke about men being worthless because it’s such a lazy, ugly, shit sad attempt at comedy and it just reinforces the “women aren’t funny” stereotype.

Many a truth is said in jest. The women who think they’re cool and edgy and “feminist” because they make jokes about how worthless men are are no better than the men they condemn. The same people who say “rape jokes normalize rape” make jokes about how worthless men are, and act like it isn’t the exact same fucking thing.

Yeah I totally agree. Validation for really scummy views, unfortunately these communities make it really hard for people to call it out as well because they insta ban you and the whole group back each other up.

Reminds me of a time I was with a group of church people casually chatting about something random and one brought up evolution as if it were a joke. And when I questioned them, thinking that was nuts and that obviously the others would back me up, they ALL one by one said that evolution wasn't real, coming up with more and more bizarr theories about it and backing each other up. I really thought I'd gone crazy for a second. It was so bizarre seeing otherwise normal, logical, intelligent people all so sure about this one thing (but with different theories about it as well!) and acting like I was the weird one.

The extreme sort of illogical views you see in these kind of subs sometimes feels very similar to me. Otherwise intelligent people legitimately arguing a specific point, and then backing each other up and refusing to discuss it properly.

Well, for me OP giving the actual account names on the pic without censoring them is the evidence itself. Their account are real, and even have the Feminist hashtag in the bio for God’s sake.

This post is not meant to be a full-on investigation, just sharing something he happened to see. And it did it’s job well if the gal actually locked her account after this blows up. The moment you asked them to provide you with screenshots, it was already unavailable to everyone, how could they predicted that someone would ask for a specific screenshot of something that they don’t even know will be lost later?

If you don’t believe them why comment in the first place? They already did enough digging if they are able to find this at all. The source is literally in the screenshot itself. There’s nothing groundbreaking or scientific about this, and the reference material is already presented, even those scientific research doesn’t tell you which page they are referring to, and if the source material is lost then it’s not their fault.
