Hey. I (29F) had a question.

What is the community (both men and women) perspective on large age differences in relationships?

I really like this guy and I want to date him properly. I have known him for twelve years, since I started college/university. I know he likes me back too. He is also funny, very kind, protective, very intelligent, a good teacher, a very interesting person to talk to, a Christian, a musician, wants to serve the community, and is traditional leaning in his personal philosophy. He also likes me back, at least somewhat.

He is also much older than me, by a very wide margin. Talking more than twenty years, much more. I don't feel it when I talk to him. He has however said the age difference worries him at least a little. I also do sometimes wonder what my family would say.

Thoughts?
