The post about juggling housework with full time work left me wondering about the amount of time you ladies all spend on housework.

To be clear, I fully agree that NOBODY should try to do all the housework while also working outside of the home. That's a recipe for disaster.

But I was also surprised how much time people said they spend on housework. One poster said his wife is a SAHM and he works from home AND they have a cleaner coming in a few times a month, but they still struggle to get everything done and have couple time.

Other people talked about how much time they spend on housework even though they don't have kids.

I may be a little lax with my housekeeping, but I normally spend an hour or at the very most two hours cooking and cleaning every day. I'm home with my kids all day, so there is plenty of mess and lots of cooking. Before kids, I didn't really think about the cleaning, because it was easy to fit it in on the weekend. We live in an apartment, with no outdoors space, so that may be why!

But I'm nosy...how much time do you spend on housework every week, and which parts are the most time consuming?
