Hey all!!

So I (26F) been dating this great (30M) for about 3 months now. He is honestly the best partner I’ve had since my early college days. He is caring, focused, passionate and has the same love language as me(physical touch) so we are loving that part lol.

I am the cofounder of a tech startup and have started making some good money. I would say him and I are about on par with our earning power at the moment but my platform hasn’t even scaled country wide and that’s in the works, so I will be making more money soon.

He is a sports journalist/ presenter and absolutely loves what he does. He probably won’t move too far way from that industry. He has his own Tv show and is doing very well for himself (he has more social capital than me and will most likely be a “celeb” in a few years)

The issue I have right now is the industry he is in will not make him the same money or more than what I do. Will this cause issues for us in the future? He is an amazing captain so far and takes the lead in our relationship without effort but I have not started making more money yet.

My ex is a high earning business man/ Chief investment officer that had no time for me and was emotionally unavailable. My current bf is the exact opposite. I have stuck with him for that reason ,he is everything I am looking for emotionally & physically. I don’t want to make the same mistake as last time and choose purely on money terms but I am sure you can see it’s important to me. More so because I don’t want to struggle being submissive to him because I bring in more money

Anyway my question is. Is it a good idea to marry someone who earns less than you and how has that gone for some of you ladies here?
