I met my husband online, in a page to find friends. I was new in the city and I was trying to meet new girlfriends but none of the girls even answered me, so I texted three guys that seemed nice, one did not answer and the other one just moved to another city. My husband was also new in town and we actually met his parents during our first meeting/date. I was recovering from ending things with my ex but I could recognized that my husband to be was a high quality man, I absolutely did not feel the same passion or excitement with him as with my ex at the beginning but I put my best effort to fall in love with him. A month later we were officially a couple and 4 months later he proposed. We have been married for 15 years have two children. There was difficult times but I can say that we are crazy for each other, our love is stronger, sex is amazing and everyday I love the guy more and more if that's possible. Btw, I actually saw my ex a few years ago and I thanked God with all my heart that things did not work on out with him.

My husband and I had a meet cute when he stopped me on the sidewalk (I was walking back from class). He matched my schedule so we'd pass each other and flirt for a few days before getting my number and setting up a date.

We both knew by the first date we were a good match. We'd texted constantly in that time and we had great flirting chemistry at the restaurant. I remember when the nice waitress asked how to split the bill and he without hesitation and quite firmly said "1 check" and held out his hand for it. I met my husband when we were 7 years old. We are the same age. My two older sisters took music lessons from his dad and they'd take me with them sometimes and I'd play with him and his two brothers while they played music. They lived an hour away.

After they stopped taking lessons, my eldest sister kept up a good friendship with his father. We'd visit every other 4th of July, his dad's favorite holiday (and mine too, now). I always had a crush on him because he was very handsome, but I thought he was out of my league. I remember they sent us family Christmas cards and I'd always look for him on them, to see how much cuter he'd gotten. One year we visited when I was 15, he flirted with me.

On the way home, my sister said in a sing-song voice "you know he's single~" I got excited, went home, sent a Facebook request. He never responded...so I took that as an L.

5 years later. We're both 20. We'd both been through several unsuccessful relationships. I lived in a college town, and he started going to university at that college. He stayed with my sister in between moving to the college apartments. He was planning a trip to the OBX with his friend while I was in the room.

"Aw, I haven't gone to the beach all summer!" I say, after he voiced his plans. He invited me to come along.

That invitation changed my life. Our first "date" we were in his hometown the night before the beach trip. We saw Dunkirk was playing at the local theater. I said I wanted to see it, and he did, too. We held hands during the previews, that was the first move.

We drove around town and had long conversations afterwards because we didn't want to sleep, we just wanted to keep talking and hanging out. We both discussed how we were traditionalists, I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom and then someday an ultrasound tech, and he had a desire to provide for a family, no matter what career it took.

5 years after that, we're now married, him with a career, and I just gave birth to our son 2.5 months ago. We both have baby fever already lol but I think we'll give it a few more years. I feel so blessed and thankful for what I've been given, and I don't know what I did to deserve all of this. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me.

I met my husband at 16 at a special high school program for nerds. I saw him from across a room and just had to get to know him. I'm incredibly shy but worked up the nerve to introduce myself - the conversation was amazing. I've never felt such a powerful draw to someone.

I confessed within a few days. He said he felt the same way. Then a few more days passed before he rescinded his confession and told me he actually was pursuing someone else, a girl he'd liked for a few years. After accepting his feelings, I pulled away. He pursued me, saying he wanted to be platonic friends. We became very close for a few months before I switched schools. Despite my best efforts, I was always head over heels for him. It wasn't easy on my little teenage heart watching him want someone else.

Fast forward four years, and I'm dating someone else who I really like but the futures we want are incompatible. I've never stopped thinking about my now-husband and have been sending text messages over the years trying to rekindle the friendship. One sticks, and we end up in a voice call. He makes it clear he would be with me if I was single. I end my relationship two days later to start talking exclusively with my now-husband.

Going into a relationship with him, I wasn't sure my insecure nature would allow me to feel comfortable and loved. After all, I had chased my husband pretty hard. When voicing my concerns, my now-husband told me to never underestimate his ability to make someone feel loved. I trusted him, and we've been very, very happy since.

I'd say "when you know, you know" is an apt term. In other relationships, I'd ask myself "could this be the one?" and I'd feel this sense of uncertainty. I'd then try to convince myself "well, he does have xyx quality" or "I do enjoy his company for xzy reason". When I was dating my husband, I asked myself the same question and felt a resounding sense of peace. That freaked me out! I started convincing myself to be wary: "surely I don't know yet, we haven't been together that long", etc.

It was a huge benefit seeing how he grew from 16-20. He'd grown a lot, and been through a lot, but was essentially the same. It made me feel very comfortable with who he was.

Though I didn't know the term red pill as a teenager, I was religious, traditional, and submissive even at a young age. My husband picked up on that. It worked to my detriment then, but he thought of me very well over the years and was excited to be with me as adults.

I met my husband when I was 13. He was friends with my older sister. He stayed friends with her, and would come over and hang out over the years. The week after I graduated college (I was 22), he was fresh out of law school and randomly invited me to a pool party he was having. I hadn’t seen him in years but I was friends with another girl going so I went. We were immediately both attracted to each other and started dating the next day. He called me every night, we invited each other to eat and hang out with our families, we went to church together, we hung out on the weekends, and we got engaged after ten months. We have been married for six years. I love him so much!

Match.com. No joke. I’d been dumped via ghosting by my bf who left to go to grad school in FL. He wanted to spend the summer with his family back in MI and said we’d reevaluate when he came back through GA to move down to FL State. Never called. Never texted. I waited almost all August. When September rolled around, I said screw it and got on Match.

Dated a few guys very casually. Matched with my husband and I sent a “wink,” after which he messaged me and asked if he could call me. I thought that was sweet and we ended up talking 3-4 hours. Hi! My husband and I worked together as servers. We knew each other as acquaintances, he had dated one of my coworkers the summer before we started working together. I didn’t have a great impression of him because of that, and sought to ignore him at work. He started conversation with me and was determined to make me laugh. We had lunch and talked for three hours, and we started watching a series on a consistent basis. He was my best friend, and I guarded my rp values pretty closely, and after months of back and forth with my incessant questioning of his values, we started dating and got engaged and married soon after!

We were on tinder just because we were bored haha. Our first date went on for 9 hours, and we hung out everyday after that until he went back to school. I visited him once a month. We became official after 3 months, but had to start off as long distance. We have the same career path, so I encouraged him to apply for an internship where my summer job was, and it ended up working out! After 3 months of long distance, we ended up living together (we worked in a very remote national park, where housing was dorm style). Two and a half years later, we got married. I was 18 working in the canteen (cafeteria) at a large manufacturing company. He was a factory worker. I had not been there very long when I first served him, instant crush! (On my part). He has actually confessed that back then he thought I was a bit of a ditz, as I was new and was getting orders wrong. This place was huge, and had several canteens throughout. I was moved to another one fr several months, when I went back to his, I saw him again and was totally crushing again. This time he realised that I wasn’t the ditz he thought, and eventually started coming in when I was on my break so he could sit and chat with me. It was actually Valentine’s Day when he finally asked me out. I had used the day as an excuse to ask questions to find out if he had a girlfriend, luckily he didn’t. Then later in the night he came by to buy an ice cream and then asked me out. We said I love you to each other one week later. We have been together 25 years! Got married 3 years ago, coz it’s important not to rush into marriage lol.

My sister's best friend has a brother that I've always thought was cute from a distance. I never actually had a chance to get to know him or even speak to him. My sister and and I grew up mostly separately but after turning 18 I moved to her city for awhile. I got a job as a counter girl at a high end restaurant where he was the head chef. I was kind of in awe about him because he was very talented but kind of intimidating, not very friendly, and to be honest he was kind of a dick, like a scrawnier version of Gordon Ramsey but with a punk rock aesthetic. I got fired from that job for burning cookies, I never had any direct contact with him though. I moved away for a long time but would occasionally ask my sister about him, he always had a serious girlfriend and had moved across the country.

I finally moved back to my sisters town for good and her best friend (his sister) told me he had moved back as well and was single. I had added him on Facebook and periodically stalked his profile. I found out he lived very close to me, and one day there was a severe storm so I took the opportunity to message him out of the blue and said "It's raining.Do you have a girlfriend?". He was thrilled that I had asked. The rest is history.

I'm married to my middle school sweetheart. I was fastenated by him because his perspective was so different from anyone else I had ever met in my tiny progressive/surburbanite/firmly middle class town. He fell in love with me pretty much because I found him interesting and any girl who gives a 14 year old boy attention is something special to him haha. He's traditional and down to earth and likely I would never have been interested in him if we met as adults after I finished growing up in that town and going to college. I would probably be a feminist if he hadn't widened my world view.

How we managed to stay together so long? He is the one person who's company I always crave. He's loyal and dedicated. We never came across any problems that couldn't be solved if we went in with the mindset that we were looking for solutions which kept us together.

I had some car issues, he's a mechanic, and he was going to be close to where I live for a short time so we finally met up.

He hasn't left since that weekend. We already knew we wanted the same things in life, and after leaving our previous relationships, we also knew what we did not want. When we met in person we both felt like we had known each other forever. Things felt easy and natural. They still do. We compliment each other perfectly.

We met on tinder! We were both kind of just dating around casually and after our second date we realized we had found something more meaningful and immediately went exclusive. We both met in a city we were living in for work and found out our parents live actually 10 mins from each other in a different state! We eventually moved back to the area, got married, and are about to have our first baby in October!
