While what could count as cheating can vary by couple, as mentioned in another reply, it would be a hard no for me on all counts.

If they cheat and claim to be monogamous, they are liars and therefore not good men.

If they are not monogamous or the couple has different terms of "cheating" that's different.

But I do not in any way condone a monogamous man cheating.

But the "defense" of those situations is because biologically women mate for security, family, love and pleasure. Men fuck for reproduction and pleasure. Which is where that emotional line gets blurred.

It's all about context at the end of the day.

I do not. I would try to work through a slip up in a serious long term relationship, but I wouldn't stay with a serial cheater. Men who can't control themselves aren't respectable to me, but maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Cheating is the one thing I won’t tolerate in a relationship. It’s a character flaw that signals weakness, selfishness, and impulsiveness. None of those traits are appealing to be around. Life is hard enough without being around, or involved with, people like that. I don’t see a point of a LTR if I, or my SO, are still playing the field.

I understand this theory completely. Men can sleep with other women and love their wife.

However, if men are “claiming” to be in a monogamous relationship and they cheat. Well, that’s deceiving. If the man wishes to have an open relationship then both people need to be on the same page. But the catch is that TRP claims women have an easier time obtaining sex than men.

My take on this is that we ALL have natural instinct that is conflicting but I love my husband and he loves me and I’m not using my instincts as a reason to cheat or be hypergamous and he shouldn’t either.

I think that you would be very surprised by how traditional many RP men really are. The reason that TRP may look as if it supports cheating is because of the strict "no moralizing" rules that are enforced in the related subs. If a man wants to cheat and to ask other men for advice about how to do that successfully (get away with it), everyone is welcome to encourage him and give him advice, but trying to talk him out of it on moral grounds is strictly forbidden. This leads to threads on these topics making the community appear to be apathetic or even encouraging of cheating, when in reality we are just respecting the rules.

I think many good men still struggle with faithfulness. It's a lifelong battle. That being said, I strongly believe that cheating is wrong and I could never be really close to another man who serially cheated on his partner. In the male subs for TRP, I simply opt out of participating in these kinds of threads. The Red Pill's purpose is not to offer people moral or religious guidance. If they seek to learn the difference between right and wrong, they may search elsewhere. We simply teach men how to become the best, most sexually attractive people that they can be come.

I think it is fine when adults define on their own terms together what constitutes cheating vs not and it is okay if that definition differs from couple to couple as long as everyone is happy with it. I have yet to meet anyone though who is happy with outright cheating and I have certainly never seen anyone on RPW ever say women should accept it out of a partner. This community has a pretty hard line stance on being with men who treat you well and serial cheaters don't qualify.

I believe it's something that can be overcome and is worth the effort to overcome, in a marriage, but nothing less. I will never understand why a woman thinks a man who can't be faithful prior to marriage will be able to after marriage.

I don't condone cheating. However, it's up to each couple to define what cheating is. In my SO's line of work, it's common for couples have 'arrangements' that allow the men to get their needs met when they're away from home.

It’s not so much one has the morality, honor, respect, etc. not to have extra-marital affairs but more so to do with managing/controlling environment. As a simple example, studies done on cheating in school proved that the majority of HS students do/would cheat on an assessment given the right context. They compared results on tests that were given as a take-home test, a test with teacher in the classroom, and a test with no adult in the classroom. Students regarded as having the highest levels of character admitted to cheating on the take-home test. Instinct is vulnerable to (influenced by) the environment.

Of course, morality, honor, respect, etc. play a part in the decision-making process. As for how accepting one should or should not be of affairs, as others noted, is up to the couple involved.

Cheating in an agreed monogamous relationship is dishonest. If my husband cheated on me, depending on the circumstances, I would be devastated but likely to attempt to keep the marriage through counselling etc. I’m not sure it would work but I would give it a try xo

According to red pill theory it's not okay to cheat. The whole point of the red pill is to be your best self, keep frame and fuck girls. You have to keep them in your frame and if you get caught cheating then you loose frame, also they advise no LTR anyway.

This is a click bait-y title and this post seems to be concern trolling to me. Nevertheless, I'll answer the question.

To condone something is to endorse a course of action. People have the freedom to choose their actions. We are therefore responsible for our actions even when they're biologically driven.

OTOH, understanding the biology that drives action is very important. Understanding biological drives will help you arrange your life in a way that minimizes head on collisions with biology.

Men and women cheat for different reasons because we're biologically different and therefore sex means something different to men and women. Therefore, men and women have different reasons for stepping outside their relationship.

As a code of morality, we shun cheating or we did until recent history. We shun cheating because of its damaging effects on society even though it may benefit the individual, at least momentarily. However, the biological drives are still there.

At TRP we discuss the truth of things. The truth is - certain things will make monogamy easier and other things will make it more difficult for men and women. If you make monogamy a living hell for your partner and they go and cheat - we at TRP will be understanding of them and we'll tell you off for your part because you can't expect humans to be super human. Doing so does not mean we condone cheating, it just means we understand the dynamics of sex, inside and outside of marriage.

I don't condone cheating for anyone, and am disinclined to view male straying as more pardonable an offense. If both parties have agreed to a monogamous relationship then any breach of that relationship's terms by either party is betrayal, period. A man's cheating may (generally) be less emotionally motivated; however, that doesn't lessen the emotional impact of his cheating on the betrayed partner. For me, personally, I make no distinction between the sexual act and the love bond. They're inseparable to me. Whether a man can make that same distinction is irrelevant, but it's important that my partner realize that if he breaks the sex bond then he has broken the love bond for me too.

If there is an expectation of fidelity in a marriage or relationship, then cheating is certainly morally questionable for either sex. However, when women cheat, it's more likely that the marriage or relationship is in trouble. A man can still love and be happy with his wife and see another woman for the sheer novelty of it all. That doesn't mean however that a woman should put up with a cheating man if she's not willing to resign herself to sharing him.

I’m in an open relationship. So it’s not technically cheating. We have had years of communication about this. I know Non-monogamy seems to be at odds with red pill teachings for men and women, but think of it this way:

If having tons of awesome manly qualities is attracting other women to my man, then I know I have picked a good one. I’m confident that he loves me.

TRP helps me to understand why I’m attracted to others, and what hypergamy really means.

In a sense, I kind of know that he’s using dread, and it motivates me to be a good girlfriend, keeping myself attractive for him.

What can I say? We are in love.
