I’ve gone on two dates with a man I met online and things have been going steady but well. I’m in my early twenties, in graduate school, and he’s in his late 30s and runs a company. We’ve been on two dates so far, initiated by him and are about to go on a third date next week. I’ve not yet offered to pay for the dates but would like to do that at some point just don’t know how? He picks very expensive restaurants (at least for my budget) that I personally wouldn’t be able to afford but I also don’t want him to think that I’m just dating him for the nice dinners (which is not the case at all!) he’s also been very respectful so far, only kissed me on the cheek, and has thoughtful conversations.

We’ve been talking about my baking a lot and I was thinking maybe for the third date I can bring him a few pieces of pastry I baked myself? Would that be too much? And should I start offering to pay on dates and if so, how should that go? Do I just offer my card at the end of the date or tell him from the start that I want to pay this time? (He’s very traditional and so am I)

I’d really appreciate any advice :)
