If you are truly charismatic, you can get away with almost anything. I'm getting a lot out of the book, Everyday Charisma by Patrick King and want to share some key insights.

King describes charismatic people people as possessing three key traits: presence, power, and warmth, the first two of which I think most modern men lack and which TRP seeks to address. King suggests that none of these can be consistently faked (translation: PUA methodology is a fail). All of them can be cultivated (translation: TRP methodology of becoming a better version of self is a win).

He suggests a path similar to method acting. Imagine a character who you want to be like and ask, "what would they do in this situation?" and then just play the role. Unflappability and refusing to allow negative emotions to overwhelm you are key aspects of cultivating the power needed to be charismatic. This was huge for me - not allowing negative emotions to overwhelm you is a choice and an exercise of will. Just fucking do it.

It also clears up something for me - the purpose of the harsh tone of this sub. Nothing should be able to phase you. You should be unflappable. It's like when the drill sergeant tells recruits they're maggots - it's to activate their internal strength mechanisms. The harsh tone here helps men to literally man up. As has been said before, it's not a bug, it's a feature.
