TLDR: Stop crying about your genetics or whatever disadvantage you have and work with what you do, most of your competition is absolutely pathetic.

Body:

Where I live we recently had a few hard snows at around freezing, which becomes what is called "heart attack snow". That is, snow that is heavy and takes a good bit of effort to shovel, which can lead to heart attacks. Stop and think about that for a moment. The average man is such a loser that merely shoveling snow is enough to kill him.

There are posts about improvement here all the time by various authors; I'm a particular fan of Gaylubeoil (yes I realize how that reads and I'm keeping it). These are inevitably met with a lot of guys who think that because they're short, ugly, or anything else that's genetic that they have no chance with anything above bridge troll.

Your competition is not Brad Pitt. Women aren't shit testing you to see if you might just be a demigod, in today's society they just want to make sure you're not going to fucking die while shoveling the driveway. Look around you and see all the fat, slovenly men. Even if you're naturally ugly, just by being swole (which anyone can do), you're going to be in the top 20%.

So sure, you might lose out every now and then to a guy who has it all, but who cares? There are plenty of women out there for whom you will look good just by not being a useless sack of lard. Thinking that you need to be tall or naturally handsome to get anywhere is male hamstering, nothing else. Lift and don't be an awkward fatass and you'll be fine.

EDIT: People keep trying to correct me that this really only affects the elderly. This is not quite true, it only should be a problem for the elderly but it isn't. The risk factors are mostly things that many men are seeing as early as their 30s and 40s: diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, etc. The majority of the risk factors are preventable even for old people.

Also, it doesn't have to literally be a heart attack. You shouldn't be throwing out your back or suffering any number of other injuries from such a mundane task and that happens a lot.

But then this is Reddit, where carrying all the groceries in at once is considered the pinnacle of fitness.
