If you haven't, start working to surround yourself with better people. Their attitudes will infect you, or at the least, dampen your potential. Be the "worst one" in the room until you are the best one, then find a different room where you're the worst one again. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I just turned 23, so I know where you're at. I had a LTR for over 4 years until some weeks ago when she broke it off randomly. She made it seem like everything was ok, then one day, she just straight up peaced without much explanation. Just have to let her go because she doesn't define my happiness.

I never thought in a million years that my ex would do this, saying one thing while doing another. In the previous weeks before the breakup when I told her I wanted to hit the gym harder, she said "You don't have to do that, I love you the way you are." All of it was a load of shit.

What does this have to do with anything? Well, at 23, a lot of my friends are getting married, a lot of them are engaged, and a lot of them have girlfriends. But if I've ever learned anything from my own relationship, and some of my other close friends who had relationships that lasted as long as mine did, they're all going to come crashing down statistically.

At our age, girls think they're "too young" to settle. Its just a fact of life. Happened to one of my best buddies a couple years ago. She gave him the whole "I love you, but I can't spend the rest of my life with you." It was tough to watch, especially since they were basically one.

I thought to myself, oh, that could never happen to me. And then it did and it made no sense because I'm awesome at life. But so was my buddy. There's no such thing as loyalty in the relationships you will have.

Your coworkers will probably be divorced in a couple years, and if you get into an LTR, keep living for you, because when it ends (which it probably will), you'll be right back up on the horse faster than it will take you to forget about her. It took me a little bit longer, about 3 weeks to really get my life back in my hands, and while that was quick, in the future, I've vowed it will take me 1 second to get back up on the horse.

Always lift. Always do what you want to do. Don't let your life revolve around anything but you, because your gf/fiance/wife will not have their lives revolve around you, but they will try and pull you in to make your life revolve around them. End rant.

Lots of people think that when you get a girlfriend or boyfriend that you don't have to do shit anymore (my wife/husband should just love me for me and not my outward appearance...fuck that shit your outward appearance is a window into who you really are). This happens to men and women all the time, it's honestly one of the main reasons why relationships fail. People think they don't have to work, stay in shape, etc. to keep their partner interested. They think all they have to do is show up.

The problem? Attraction gives no fucks about feelings and once it's gone, resentment begins to build and it takes an incredible amount of work to get it back versus just maintaining it from the start. As a man, you have the hardest job here because it's always going to be up to you to lead both of you down this path. It will be up to you to get and keep both of you in shape and keep the attraction up because women do not like leading like this and will take clues from you.

If you stay in shape and give her your expectations, then you should be fine.

Getting a gf is one thing, keeping her and having a decent relationship is a totally different kettle of fish. That co-worker won't be so smug when the magic goes out of the relationship and the sex takes a backseat. TRP is there when the honeymoon phase is over and you have to get down to the realities of a relationship.

The comfort of a relationship. So many men let themselves go once that GF turns into wife. It's risky. I see many fat balding out of shape men with pretty wives, good for them, but ever the situation where "things don't work out" and that chance is 50%, those fat slobs will have a hard time recovering.... if ever.

Also it's a dangerous mentality of entering the comfort phase of a relationship. Gambing 50% that the girlfriend will fall out of favor or attraction and start looking to swing branches. The risk is even greater if she has male friends that she'll cheat or swing onto.

He's comfortable, he thinks he's won, I too had that same thought when I got comfortable with my mediocre job, mediocre diet, looks, and health and my gf/wife got fed up, her hypergamy kicked in as she saw her friends bagging handsomer and richer men living richer lives and sure enough when she saw an opportunity to swing to another branch, she did.

Her cheating and divorce was still "all my fault". However Karma does exist for some and the branch she swung to broke leaving her as a single mom of 2 dysfunctional kids trying to date in her 30s to find beta bucks in a market full of thirsty men not interested.

I remember when I stopped lifting at age 23 because I was engaged so why bother. By age 29 I was in a Deadbed marriage which I endured mostly due to my religion and a cluster fuck of personal shit until age 45 when I discovered TRP.

*Ok, there's probably a small percentage of women who are actively attracted to fat dudes. But that's definitely not the norm.

If you go to the gym because you like going to the gym, then that is great. If you don't like going to the gym, that is fine too.

Most people go to the gym to improve their looks, for some reason or another. A lot of people going to the gym to improve their looks are doing so in order to be more sexually attractive. If this is the case, then going to the gym might be wasteful if you feel you won't be getting anything from it.

Feeling like you can punch holes through faces, run through walls, and more confidence are some others. I started 4 years ago so I could be better at sports, now it's just a hobby because it has benefited me in many other ways.

Lol, wut? Swap out the word 'relationship' for 'woman' for starters, and you see that yeah, happiness actually does come in the form of healthy, happy relationships for a lot of people.
