This is primarily why as a Black Man I knew I needed to choose my school wisely in an area where there would be sufficient Black people around and Black cops and judges to prevent me from being railroaded completely. TRP certainly could have helped but one needs to recognize with ignorance often comes racism which doubles your chances of getting into deep shit.

Make no mistake, this type of incident has and will continue to happen to White Men predominantly, but a minority is doubly at risk for having this happen to them particularly in college. Now I can sort of understand why Asians stick to themselves a lot of times in certain parts of the U.S. - It's for safety reasons. The Frat culture is not a great conduit for intelligence or higher thinking many times. If you aren't White and the Frat isn't specific to your ethnicity I'd stay away from it entirely.

There's really not much the Asian dude could have done differently in the situation. Maybe carry a less lethal weapon like a blackjack, but even those can crack someones skull and lead to unintended death; hence a manslaughter charge. Guys in college want to go out to party and fuck young coeds. That's 50% of the reason they go in the first place. It's sure as hell not to learn about Greek philosophy. You guys realize that the "get big" part is actually true. I've traveled to dozens of countries and gone to some crazy parties all over the world. Many of them had lots of fights break out. I've not once been jumped or even had anyone look at me badly?

Now, I've asked myself why this is? Am I very lucky? Maybe. I think it's down to 2 things. First is, people usually like being around me and I'm a fun guy. 2nd, I'm 6'3 and 235 pounds.

This is a pretty big generalization to derive from one dude's circumstance. All that "partylife" is an environment where women are encouraged and enabled to go full hamster with no sense of responsibility or consequences. Whether you're talking about a frat party or a nightclub, it's an environment that dudes have designed to attract girls, get them uninhibited and get them to abandon their natural slut defense.

Partying is literally THE best way for most young guys to get laid, get a lot of social experience, and learn the skills they never developed.

You just have to remember a few rules. Don't be afraid to be "beta" if there's dudes, even dudes you can take in a fight, gearing up to fight. Even if you can whoop their ass, it's not worth the consequence.

Rule two is don't hook up with girls who are shitfaced. Self-explanatory, protect yourself.

Rule three is don't get shitfaced yourself. Get tipsy if you want, but keep your head straight, it helps you logically deal with logistics and ASD anyway.

Rule four is use condoms.

If you do that, then partying is great. Not excessively or anything, but I recommend every guy here who doesn't have the sex life they want - be honest - start trying to go out at least once a week.
