I love how TRP encourages us all to be better men. Its the reason I am still here.

However I'd like to discuss a few things not to do with women and feminism but more health related issues.

I absolutely love the contributers on ROK and some of the game masters like Christian McQueen and so on. But noone has really dissected health.

Getting "fit" or in shape is all well and good, but are you really healthy?

Chances are like myself, because we hit the gym and have muscles etc we think thats enough.

Sadly its naive, and if like me you train with personal trainers who advise you to drink protein powders and lots of coffee and so on, then you certainly aren't healthy.

As part of #nonothingnovember I researched into homeopathic and chinese medicine and discovered some things that I have implemented as my goal changed. I originally choose to stop boozing and smoking socially for november but found myself on a way better healthier path.

See "Alpha" again is a very general term. We want to be the best we can be. I believe starting with your health is the best way. Since doing so, Game, girls, all that stuff just seems insignificant. I suppose I am well into monk mode.

So some tips that may or may not work for you. But for me have in a matter of weeks changed my life completely:

  1. Cut out coffee. - Seriously I know its tough. But the downsides of coffee are lack of sleep, anxiety, weight gain and it often contains pesticides. Since cutting it out I rely on natural energy and green teas (which aid digestion better). I sleep like a baby leading onto my next point:

  2. Sleep 7-8 hours a day - I have averaged 5-6 on and off for years. I have now managed to sleep better which has helped me feel happier, fresher and infact given me far more energy. Tips for sleeping early, try to hit bed time 10ish, lay down read or listen to chill music with a dim light. After an hour or so, switch off all lights so its pitch black, turn your phone off and be alone with your thoughts. You'll fall asleep and set your alarm for 7-8 hours later. You'll think with far better clarification that next day GUARANTEED.

  3. Get into YOGA. I started Yoga initially as I thought it was a good way to meet girls. But instead I downloaded a cheap app on my iPhone which has full 15-60 minute classes. I bought a Yoga mat and wake up and go to bed doing Yoga. My posture is better, my breathing and I feel taller. You will begin to become gradually more flexible. This is good for tight muscles from the gym, your work, and so on. Greatest hobby I've ever discovered.

  4. I started realizing my skin was yellow. I realized that I lacked serious sun and various other things. I researched it more and discovered I lacked a lot of vitamins. So I take a 3 different vitamins for what I lack. Vitamin D for lack of sun. Reishi extract to improve my breathing. Lastly a MultiVitamin for an energy boost. My skin is clearer (remember its been 3 weeks only!) my energy is natural and I have a balanced well being for the first time in my life.

  5. Fluids - Like caffeine stop fizzy drinks immediately. I now drink green and herbal teas all day. They are sensationally good. They help move your bowels (good for weight loss), help you with sleeping and in fact giving you a boost. Try to also include water. I've never in my life had a clear urination. Its regular for me now. Remember if your piss is yellow youre seriously dehydrated.

  6. Invest in a foot massager - Weird but trust me, so important. Our feet are a lot more sensitive then you think. They are cheap on amazon. Read here for more info about your feet - http://www.lifehack.org/articles/lifestyle/9-unexpected-benefits-foot-massage-that-make-you-want-have-one-now.html

  7. Learn or practice Tai Chi (Qi Gong) - Every morning and every night I practice Tai Chi. Tai Chi is a for of natural healing through the art of breathing and movement of the hands. A balanced Chi is what you want and its real. I shrugged off colds and flus doing Tai Chi. Its incredibly powerful and I am just an amateur.

  8. Eat right - Organic foods are so good. But crap i.e. crisps, chocolates in moderation. I know eat salads and sushi mainly for lunch and still managed to build muscle in the gym. But again everyone is different.

  9. Exercise - Make sure you include some cardio to get some air into your lungs. Don't make my mistake and just lift. You want to get blood pumping from a combination of the two.

So there you have it. For me, this is my prescription. My way of life. I no longer feel stressed, feel aggravated, or moan about women or feminism etc. Because my health to me is so important.

I hope this drastically helps and improves your life the way it has mine.
