I have never heard of this before, and had not seen that website until now.

No person, man or woman, looks at somebody as a genuinely attractive long term romantic partner without first looking at them as a short term sexual partner. The visceral desire to want to rip someone's clothes off and go to town on them is something both men and women need as the foundation for a real relationship.

Tell me, which bodytype in men most evokes that feeling in women? I can tell you what it definitely is not, and that is this so-called 'dad bod'.

This is pretty easy to analyze when you look at who's writing it. It's not on here. It's not in Men's Health. It's SJW Weekly clickbait -- but with a more sinister underbelly.

For one, this is the male version of fat acceptance. Think about the people pushing that -- unattractive, near or post-wall fat feminists. The more average guys out there for them, the better.

Furthermore, if you're medium-fat, you're less likely to appeal to the younger, hotter girls who are looking for a good time rather than a long-term provider.

Now, imagine you're in the LTR -- and think of this in terms of dread game -- you're no longer as attractive to her younger competition, allowing her to let herself go, because Solipsism.

If you are looking to lock down some used-up post-wall ass, by all means, stop lifting. Stop paying attention to your diet. Then you'll know for sure that she likes you for your personality.

That, or your pocket charm.

Don't forget that whoever wrote this gives zero fucks about how his readers are doing with women. It's basically the male equivalent of Cosmo's "10 signs you are a powerful independent woman" articles. (where 1, 4 and 8 are something like 'you sometimes cry on the bathroom floor for no reason') Cosmo knows 99% of it's readers are basic bitches who couldn't tell up from down in their own life without a man. They don't care. They'll write whatever people want to believe.

Same with this article. They simply choose the body type that is most prevalent in their reader base (eg 25-35 year old lazy guys) and write based on that. They trade effortless self-validation in return for ad clicks. Nobody thinks this way.

In college i was in great shape, decent bmi, enjoyed my eating. Thing is I didn't change my eating habits from 20 to my 40s and I tell ya that shit doesn't fly like they used to. Where I once was able to enjoy breads and burgers needs to turn into salad bars and low fats.

No excuse. I got the dad bod because I'm old and still eat like a 20 year old.

Ok, so seeing this wife tells me that's so sexy, that she doesn't want me to continue working out, that a little extra in the waist is hot. Her rationalization was "you check out the chicks on FoxNews. They're all short dresses, high heels, hair, makeup. When you see that, you tell me I look great (she does, runs 6-7 miles daily), I'm older than they are (yes, at 48), how can you want me compared to them, etc, etc, etc". Oh, and she said "women don't want hard, abs, they want someone they can squeeze", and something else, but I stopped listening internally.

But, seeing her get tingles from watching baseball players (Mike Trout, specifically), I DO get it. She doesn't want me to get higher SMV. She wants me to stay as I was. OP hits it: "Dad bods are non-threatening to other women and she will have no worries about control."

This observation could be a legit trend. I remember hearing a video where RSD Tyler was talking about how when he went to clubs in russia or something, all the hottest women were with guys who "looked like they worked out" were built, but still had some bodyfat and weren't perfectly porportioned. It makes sense, seeing as how women aren't as attracted to the physicalas men are, but rather prefer dominance/masculinity. That being said if you're currently trying to get lean i would hope that you don't curtail your own goals.

It's no coincidence that this comes immediately on the heels of the "Beach Body" nonsense.

Feminists and other SJW allies who are offended that men find fit females attractive rage against standards for women, and then immediately turn around and attempt to diminish standards for men. Doing so lets women off the hook, and does so by employing the same old trope they always use: "it's only bad when you discuss our bodies; we can say what we want."

Lowered standards is always their goal.

I've heard about this before. It's an interesting rationalization and way for women to come to terms with the obesity epidemic. So we've got women rationalizing not having to work so hard to get a hot guy, and others using this as an excuse for their own lazy behavior giving them license to also be flabby messes.

This is also a good example of women's open hypergamy. They say they still like hot men, but will settle for the dad boy guy if he has other traits going for him (read: beta bucks).

When it comes right down to it, this dad bod nonsense is just a big social shit test. Women still go gaga for abs and muscles and will cheat on this soft pudgy guys in a heartbeat if given the opportunity. You know it, I know it, and they know it. It's just polite society that doesn't acknowledge the elephant in the room.
