Blue Pillers experience time as a Hampster Wheel. Life is a progression from bad feelz to good feelz and then back again. This cycle continues endlessly, giving an illusion of "movement," when in reality the person remains the same the whole time.
Take your average Joe who mildly dislikes his 9 to 5 job. If you were to chart his emotional state it would look something like this (I'm drawing from my own past experiences as well):
Sunday: Morning is good, watch football and make breakfast. As the afternoon starts to come around, though, become depressed thinking about the long week ahead.
Monday: Takes three alarms to get up. Resist going in to work. Make jokes with co-workers about having a "bad case of the Mondays."
Tuesday: Back in the groove. Got some tasks done, and made the cute girl in the office laugh.
Wednesday: Another OK day. Got a bunch of things done.
Thursday: Really boring day. Spent most of a two hour meeting watching the clock tick down. Could barely stay awake during a co worker's presentation on Synergy and Team Building.
Friday: Checked out. Try to work, but mentally already thinking about the weekend. Wish time would progress faster so it would be 5 pm already. When 5 pm does come, a big sigh of relief.
Friday Night: The high point of the week. Drink with buddies at a bar. Great time, laughing, even got a girl's number.
Saturday: Hung over in the morning. Lazy and don't feel like doing anything. Fuck. Rally in the afternoon, though, and have a good time grilling over at friend's house.
And then Sunday comes again, the case of the Mondays returns, and the cycle continues. I've lived like this before, and know that many others have too.
This type of lifestyle is trapped in time. Your mood is constantly up and down based on factors that seem mostly out of your control. In this Blue Pill mindset, you want time to "progress." In other words, you experience Tuesday afternoon as boring and really wish you could just fast forward to the weekend already (these thoughts can occur subconsciously). This mindset can apply to tons of different situations. You might want to progress to retirement, or school graduation, or to a new relationship.
Now imagine observing this guy from an outside perspective. The guy himself never changes. He might be talking loudly on Friday night, depressed on Sunday, and bored on Tuesday (i.e. he has different emotional states), but he's still the same guy overall. An average frustrated chump as we call them in the man-o-sphere.
The guy we're talking about, though, doesn't perceive things quite so objectively. He knows life could be going better, but he has "Hope" for the future. Maybe he'll meet a beautiful woman next time he goes out. Maybe he'll get that promotion he was passed over for last time. This also occurs on a micro level. Work might be boring, but at least he can look forward to watching Netflix at night. Indeed, the answer to the Blue Piller's problems is always just around the corner.
The Red Pill
The Red Pilled man doesn't fall for the Hampster Wheel's illusion of progress. This point is very subtle, but I'll try to communicate it as best as I can.
Obviously, this man finds himself in many different situations throughout the week. During week days he's focused and working hard. At night he's relaxing or pursuing hobbies. On the weekends he might be running errands or partying. External circumstances are constantly changing, yet he remains the same internally. He doesn't get a "bad case of the Mondays." Nor does he get overly relieved when he goes to the bar on Fridays. He is internally stable, and his personality doesn't shift from situation to situation.
Red Pilled men don't seek answers in the future, because they are already fulfilled right NOW. In other words, life is experienced as "pretty great," so there's no need to day dream about things getting better some day. In fact, the very act of day dreaming seems repugnant, because it would cause you to miss out on all the great stuff happening NOW.
There's no "progression" of time for the Red Piller. Red Pillers are the ones who make the schedules for others to follow. They are the ones who came up with the 9 to 5 schedule in the first place, for the workers/Blue Pillers to follow. They understand days of the week are really just abstractions we use to budget our time effectively. Indeed, the idea of trying to "progress" past certain days is not only impossible, but insane.
Conclusion
Swallow the Red Pill. Remove yourself from the ups and downs of the Blue Pill, and take an objective, stoic view of reality. Once you're able to tame your emotional ups and downs, you will become a "Master." People will look to you to be the leader, and will appreciate your steady, guiding hand.
