We've been inundated with the feminist attempt to put sex entirely within the control of women. From "Yes means Yes" statutes, to the 10 hours waling through NYC, feminists have made it very clear that women control the commodity of sex and when men try to take any type of control they are labelled everything from "misogynists" to "rapists." Feminists love to accuse males of being virgins, and of not being capable of getting a girlfriend because this rhetoric demonstrates the power that women have over men, specifically the power to control sex.

Well, there's a very simple solution: legal prostitution. If we legalize prostitution and de-stigmatize it, men won't have to compete for the scarce sexual commodity; they can just pay for it. Let's let the sex commodity compete on the open market the same way other commodities compete. What happens when you make a commodity more available? the price goes down and the quality goes up. By legalizing prostitution, the quality of the whores will go up because it will be considered a legitimate occupation. Also, because men won't need to compete for the affections of women for the sole purpose of coaxing them into bed, women will have to work harder to earn the affections of men by having better personalities, being less selfish, staying in shape, etc.

If feminists are interested in "equality" rather than power, they should love this idea. It will permit women to have control over their bodies (something that feminists claim to support); and it will reduce the amount of sex crimes and rape and catcalls because men will have a legitimate and readily available outlet for their sexual energy.

Thus, it's a win-win.
