I've been hitting the gym and lifting weights/running a mile every day since Sept. 21. I haven't missed one day thus far ...

inb4 somebody says no time for recovery.

well, somebody else already said you're going to burnout, but. Look and listen to your body. I've been working out every day, and sometimes 40 times per month, for four years. I have the opposite of burnout. I don't feel mentally balanced until I get the workout.

I started lifting about the same time. I agree with 100% of what you're saying. Lifting is great! I'm seeing new muscles I never even knew I had. On top of all that I'm way happier.

Before my shoulders would be more rounded and pointed forward and now they're parallel with my body and more pushed back in the correct position without me having to think about it.

This right here. Before I started lifting my shoulders would always be slouched forward and it would look like I had a hunched back.

Literally after just a couple of sessions of working out I start to notice how my posture has changed immensely without me noticing. I tend to stand or sit straight up more and feel weird when my shoulders are forward.

There's a lot to be said about "noob gains".

Some dudes are going to come along and say that "2 months of lifting isn't shit!" etc.

What's most important is two months of lifting has made you feel more confident, stronger, and is good for you. Keep it up!

Yes, there's a big personal growth aspect to hard athletic training (physique stuff and basic 5x5 meh; most of it is pretty fucking easy tbh but if it's the hardest thing you've done it'll mature you ofc).

Yes, being man-shaped gets you a foot in the door with women relative to being faggot-shaped.

And yes, an elite physique (big for frame + ripped + graceful) gets you more than that if you know how to milk it.

Look, I don't mean to be a dick nor to burst anybody's bubble, but...it's a honeymoon phase that OP and a thousand past OP's are talking about. Milk it for all it is worth, but don't expect it to last. It's actually pretty ordinary stuff and life is still life, men are still men, and women are still ~~whores~~ women.

Keep it up man, but don't get lethargic when the improvements start to slow. You're getting your noob gains right now, and it's a huge confidence boost to see the massive changes that a couple months of work can put in. Just stay the course and remind yourself daily that you reap what you sow.

Mind if I ask you something personal? How was your base of male friends beforehand? (And now?)

I'm asking because I have been struggling to fully pull myself out of a Looong term relationship and this is coinciding with a lot of my guy friends, who I can usually depend on to chill with for a night when things get really bad mentally and I need to get away from my own thoughts, either suddenly going on a different path in life or suddenly not being in contact for whatever reason.

Also because I'm seeing plenty of other dudes my age in a college group and we meet fairly frequently as a club but I'm not sure how to let these dudes know I'm down to chill whenever and not seem needy. You follow? Thanks.

OP working out every day is great, especially since you're getting noob gains. But think about how you can transition to something more sustainable. Plan for burnout before it actually happens.

Best feeling is when you reach under your arm and feel a nice big lat. It's a muscle I didn't have before I started doing pullups / rows.

A lot of posture problems come down to the lower back doing a ton of extra work because most people's hamstrings, glutes, abs and upper back aren't worked at all. By strengthening those, your body literally pulls itself back together.

Just remember to work on your diet as well. You need to be getting a good macro balance to maintain that energy level and have your gains be visual as well.

Hate to say it but women are almost as shallow as men are when it comes to body image. The quantity and quality of your sex life should start to improve the more you lose the gut and gain some lean muscle. This is such an easy thing to improve on compared to the mental game. Both take years to master but muscle building has largely been completely figured out.

Go heavy, go hard. Cry and puke if you have to. Full ROM or you'll just look like an ego-lifting asshat with no real muscle development.

Lifting is a God send. Seriously. Love the mentality and confidence it brings.

I did the same thing you did OP. Got into a break up, complained for a little, then hit the gym. Cut. Lift. Ate at a deficit. Saw the ex at a wedding a couple months later with another girl. I got messages from her saying she thought she saw God.

Keep it up, keep up the intensity, and you will do just fine. They always said the greatest motivation to become a bodybuilder is a breakup

2 months of lifting/exercise 6 days of the week here after having a LTR ending.

I'm 40 pounds down (started counting calories in July). More social and upbeat than I have ever been. Joined my schools powerlifting club. No longer seeking validation from people because the truth lies with the iron. Depression is nonexistent and I've hooked up with more women in the past months than I ever have (Thank god for college).

Definitely part of being Alpha, but not even close to being the whole thing.

Lifting is important, but is blown out of proportion by many. You only need to be on a good program for roughly a year to get your results. After that you can easily go once a week as long as your diet and lifestyle isn't in the toilet.

Broke my right hand (dominant) and was out of the gym for 3.5 months. Kept my diet extremely clean and drank sparingly, etc. Started back to the gym 9 days ago and I'm still the same size as all the fags that have been in there every day for years. I haven't lost any size and they still look the same. My lifts were only down 20% and now I'm back to my personal bests.

Try it sometime. Take a month or more off from the gym. When you return, if your lifts and size are shit then you need to look at how you live your life and not how you hit the gym. I was one of those brainwashed fucks that thought if you went more than a week without lifting the world would fucking end.
