1.) I don't care what my girl, or any girl thinks of me and my "performance"

2.) The better my "performance", the more options I have, and the more options I have, the more my girl with make an effort to improve her "performance" with me.

It's a double edged sword, yes, they get used to whatever level they are at, but they also know they have to up their level as you improve yours. Just always be improving and it should go your way anyway.

This weekend my 6yr old son and I did some yard work. I have raised him to be lazy as fuck so I am fixing that.

When we finished I was about to tell him "go show your mom how great the yard looks". But then I thought "why the fuck am I training my son to seek validation from women".

I told him he did a great job. He seemed to be happy just knowing that he accomplished something.

Stop seeking validation. Do shit for you. If she appreciates it great. If not, she can move on.

It sucks, but understanding that they don't care unless it directly impacts them. But based on your actual question, it can work to your advantage also, if you have a high standard for yourself in something, and don't reach it, she most likely won't even care to begin with.

Unless it interferes with you being able to provide the tingles or provide the provisions she most likely doesn't care.
