Your wife isn’t jealous, in fact she isn’t even your wife she is your mother. She is telling you what to do because she is the captain of your ship.

Many of us have been there, being a drunk captain. She stepped in to take over as captain and she isn’t going to give up her leadership of the home and leadership of you, until you prove you’re not going to steer the ship aground.

You need to step back from this, and look at what is going on. She thinks she can do what she wants and also control what you do. All of what you have said comes to that. She got the pants on girlfriend.

Second, and i am no lawyer, but consider the use of the term "reasonable". Highly subject, but its definition is critical in a legal case. You are the only one who can decide what is "reasonable" in your situation.

But no, you are asking us here on the internet to help you determine what is "reasonable" in your situation. Personally, i dont think her behaviour is reasonable, but that is based on info you have provided... but lets look at two scenarios

1) if you and trainer (who is single) flirt in front of your wife, perhaps her behaviour is reasonable.

2) If you know the trainer as a family friend for years, likely your wife is unreasonable.

Moral of my story? Man up. Lead at home. Lead your wife. Set boundaries if required about her home visits. Make your own decision about continuing with your current trainer.

Shit wont change overnight, but there is a manual called the sidebar. 3 months she may notice a change, 6 months you may have some cred, 9 months you might be close to being captain.

And the cheat sheet - - stick with the trainer if you want to. Ignore bitching. Lead.

One of the scariest things for a lifelong beta to do is to tell their wife to essentially fuck off while you go and do your own thing because it is what you want to do.

This is called a shit test. You are trying to get out of the comfortable box that she has worked hard to place you in the last few years. In that box, everything is predictable and comfortable. She knows what to expect from you. On the other hand, you are no longer exciting and her panties are as dry as the sahara.
