I have a middle ground opinion on this. You making this a big deal probably made you look like a huge pussy.

That is why she tests you so much, its clear you are a dramatic man. So you are giving her feels but at the same time you dont give her the perception of having frame.

You can either calm the waters playfully teasing her about the hoodie and fucking the shit out of her while she wears it, making it clear you never cared about it that much anyways. Or you shut the fuck up and just remove your attention / affection, which would enforce your boundaries, reinforcing that you indeed, do care a lot.

Contrary to what a lot of people are saying You’re entitled to your boundaries . Even if it’s a hoodie with another man’s name and that’s your prerogative great. You have to die on that hill if it means so much to you.

She crossed that boundary . Now you have to enforce consequences.

I kind of get where you’re coming from . Not as much the hoodie aspect but the fact that she still did something you weren’t cool with. At the end of the day it’s your life, your rules, your happiness. Do what makes you happy.

What she's doing isn't a shit test- this is straight up disrespect. Personally, I'd probably break up with her over it or give her one serious "I find this disrespectful. A girlfriend of mine doesn't wear a hoodie with another guys name on it." and if she doesn't correct herself and stop, then dump her. Even if you keep her, that's a big strike against her.

A classic example of how reverse psychology is so effective on women. She cooked up this subconsciously manufactured drama to push your buttons, watch you squirm, and thus get a kick of your reaction (women are like cats in that they like to play with their prey).

If you gave 2 shits about the hoodie it would have deflated this whole thing and she would shrug and forget about it, perhaps moving on to the next thing to torment you with if she’s that sort of woman.

Some of these comments are outright hateful. You're being controlling though, imo. It sounds like she's asserting touchy boundaries with you because she feels she needs to, because she doesn't feel safe within your judgment of them.
