I'm currently 6' 192 pounds (down from 238 since Thanksgiving). I've leveraged keto which I found before the Red Pill and was a complete game changer for dropping weight without being miserable. In spite of losing so much weight, my body fat percentage is still quite high. Using calipers it is showing up as 30%.

When I discovered the Red Pill I started the Stronglifts 5x5 program on all of your advice. I failed a 5x5 set for the first time last week on overhead press. Here is where I am at right now:

Squat: 145 OH Press: 85 Deadlift: 190 Bench: 130 Row: 115

The weights across all of the exercises are getting super hard and my form is starting to falter significantly but I am able to get the weight up.

Would love feedback on my strategy:

  1. Keep doing keto (~1,200 calories per day) until I get my body fat percentage down to 12%. I'm losing around 4-5 pounds per month consistently. I think I am 20-30 pounds away from 12% body fat. After getting to 12% I think I would start to eat more food (2,600 calories?) and focus on muscle growth.
  2. Keep doing 5x5s. But I feel like I may get injured with shitty form if I keep adding weight. On cheat days the weight feels 15-30% easier. Given my situation and desire to cut to 12% body fat, should I not worry about adding +5 pounds every gym session and instead keep the increments quite small and focus on form until I hit my 12% goal?
