This happened to me a few years ago. Met a pretty great and fit LTR, and she texted a ‘friend’. I hadn’t fully digested TRP, but I knew it was unacceptable and honestly pointless to continue the LTR if I didn’t set boundaries.

I did similar to what you did (telling her it’s unacceptable) and she did exactly what your girl did - instantly blocked, cried, and begged me to stay. My girl then even went so far as delete all the guy contacts she had on her phone, and gave me her password to her IG, FB, etc.

However, if I’m being honest, if I had to do it all over again, I would have dumped her anyway. Once I realized my own value, just remembering her past red flags made me feel ill. I knew I could do better, and chances are in a few months/years, you will look back and think ‘she was worth it, but I could do better’.

You stated your boundary and she obliged, that's all good . Now just make sure next time you catch her talking to some random guy or texting , you leave without saying or explaining yourself. She now knows you won't tolerate, and if she's going to indulge in shit like that, you know where you stand. I'm an all or nothing player these days. Over time I'm increasingly less disposed to LTRs, but the ones I do enter into? I'm ruthless in what I do not tolerate. Were I in your situation, I'd say what you did, then slowly phase out, emotionless, cold, radio silence.
