I'm actually single because I WANT to be single. I've dated and slept with plenty of women in the past year. The difference now is that I'm not going to be in a relationship with anyone until they're the right person.

Number 1 is on the ball. I am a fat nerd with a beard who is a general collector of Star Wars and blu-ray movies, but I don't put them in action poses and I don't think women are cunts. I used to, but not anymore. My problem is my self-confidence. I have none. And it will take a while for it to come to me. One month of self-improvement? More like a year. I need to lose weight. That's where my self-esteem seeps out from.

lots of people are choosing to be single today. I think we're going the way of japan where people even say no to sex with other people because they thinks is a hassle or are consumed by their careers. I keep hearing how unhappy my married friends are. stress, no free time, marital problems,financial problems. I'm sure they have happy moments but they always paint this grim and exhausting picture for me. of all my friends I can only think of 1 couple that looks legitimately happy. horrible odds if you ask me. most guys here will use seddit to get laid and who can blame them really.

None of those reasons are why I'm single. I've dated plenty of women, but whenever I date someone it's usually for only a month or two because it's just not that important to me. I don't feel the need to "act" the way women like (pretending to be interested in their lives, going places, texting constantly) once I've been around them for a few weeks, and breaking up isn't a big deal. And that's totally fine, and it's probably better than guys who obsess over girls after dating for a week or two. The problem with this article is its going to convince some guys to stay with shitty girls because they think that if they're single their life isn't in order.

A better title would be, three reasons you're not hooking up with girls.

I don't know about mark manson. His writing is not very clear or concise. Maybe im retarded but I had to keep re-reading his article over and over. He mention his book a lot in other articles too. "If you want to learn more buy me book blah blah blah"
